THE GOLDEN SCENERY (E379): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. SUNLIGHT POWER (H244): Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres lay in when being shifted to the outside of MID WINTER WIND to obtain clear running. C P BRAVE (E306): No report. KARMA (G392): Raced keenly in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. WOODFIRE BRO (G115): Jumped only fairly. MONEY CATCHER (G171): Bumped on jumping. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. MID WINTER WIND (K208): Bumped on jumping. Bumped near the 50 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race. MICKLEY (K082): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MICKLEY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122): No report. VOYAGE SAMURAI (J026): Near the 50 Metres bumped with MID WINTER WIND. JOHANNES BRAHMS (K014): When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer P C Ng stated that at the horse’s last start it was disadvantaged by being taken wider in the middle stages and left without cover. He said today JOHANNES BRAHMS was better suited by being able to obtain cover in the early and middle stages behind MID WINTER WIND and this was the principal reason for JOHANNES BRAHMS being able to run on strongly in the Home Straight. Sent for sampling post-race. SPEED DRAGON (H380): Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 400 Metres was shifted to the outside of JOHANNES BRAHMS to find clear running. Sent for sampling post-race. FLAMING RABBIT (H257): After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount settled slightly further back than anticipated despite his efforts to hold a more forward position. ROMANTIC THOR (K012): No report.
