SPIRIT OF PEACE (K007): No report. MASTER OF ALL (H177): Sent for sampling post-race. CONSPIRACY WITNESS (J541): No report. EVERYONE'S CLASSIC (J407): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. After the event, K C Leung reported that his mount, which was racing first up today, would derive benefit from today’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LUCKY STATEMENT (J521): Made contact with the right side of its barrier on jumping and as a result commenced only fairly. Near the 800 Metres was steadied when crowded by SPIRIT OF PEACE (B Avdulla) which shifted in when not quite clear. B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care. After the event, A Atzeni stated that when he was concerned there may be something amiss with his mount he eased it down from the event on the Home Turn. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of LUCKY STATEMENT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY STATEMENT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WIN SPEED (J205): After the event, M Chadwick stated that he was obliged to make some use of his mount in the early stages from a wide barrier to take up a position outside the lead. He said as a result WIN SPEED was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GENERAL SMART (K138): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 800 Metres improved to the inside of LUCKY STATEMENT and then was steadied when momentarily crowded. HARMONY N HOME (C531): Jumped awkwardly. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. JUMBO FORTUNE (G195): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. DRACO (J115): Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Approaching the 400 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between WIN SPEED and KINGLY DEMEANOR. DRACO was then held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres when being shifted to the outside of KINGLY DEMEANOR. GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY (K002): Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 250 Metres was bumped and taken wider. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. THE AUSPICIOUS (K004): Bumped on jumping. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight, K De Melo stated that his mount responded only fairly when placed under pressure and for this reason he did not ride THE AUSPICIOUS with full vigour for some distance approaching the 200 Metres. He said over the concluding stages THE AUSPICIOUS was held up for clear running between WIN SPEED and HARMONY N HOME and as a result he was unable to fully test his mount to the finish of the event. The Stewards advised Jockey De Melo that, wherever possible, he must ride his mounts with full vigour to ensure they obtain the best possible placing in the field. QINGYUAN STAR (J350): No report. KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486): Sent for sampling post-race. FOXHUNTER KING (J044): Withdrawn on 15.2.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter QINGYUAN STAR. Before being allowed to race again, FOXHUNTER KING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
