HAPPY TOGETHER (G446): Jumped awkwardly. Making the Home Turn had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between STAR CONTACT and HELENE FEELING. Sent for sampling post-race. FIVE G PATCH (G286): Near the 150 Metres made contact with ENCOUNTERED when being shifted to the outside of STAR CONTACT. LA CITY BLANCHE (G371): Lay out in the Home Straight and near the 150 Metres M Chadwick was obliged to stop riding and straighten his mount. ENCOUNTERED (G236): Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Bumped near the 150 Metres. THE GOLDEN SCENERY (E379): Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when racing in restricted room between MONEY CATCHER and WOODFIRE BRO. After the event, A Pouchin stated that the instructions were to hold a forward position but not necessarily lead. He said in the early stages when caught wide and when the pace of the race was run outside of standard time he elected to allow THE GOLDEN SCENERY to stride forward and settle outside the early leader FLAMINGO TRILLION. MOMENTS IN TIME (H474): On jumping was bumped by ENCOUNTERED which shifted out. Approaching the 1400 Metres raced in restricted room between WOODFIRE BRO and THE GOLDEN SCENERY and commenced to race fiercely. As a result, MOMENTS IN TIME was then checked to avoid STAR CONTACT for some distance thereafter when it refused to settle. Raced keenly through the early and middle stages and as a result was allowed to stride forward near the 800 Metres to take up a position outside the lead. Sent for sampling post-race. HELENE FEELING (H215): Sent for sampling post-race. MONEY CATCHER (G171): Near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid MOMENTS IN TIME (H Bowman) which shifted in when not clear. H Bowman was advised to exercise more care. WOODFIRE BRO (G115): No report. FLAMINGO TRILLION (H192): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. STAR CONTACT (E472): No report. ROMANTIC LAOS (G476): Jumped only fairly. Near the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of THE GOLDEN SCENERY to obtain clear running. Approaching the 150 Metres became held up for clear running when disappointed between MONEY CATCHER and STAR CONTACT and as a result could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the event.
