STAR LINE (J110): Approaching the 1200 Metres, when being shifted in to obtain cover, commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from FIRE BALL. GANGNAM STAR (H326): Approaching the 1200 Metres shifted out and away from STAR LINE. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FLYING PHANTOM (J086): Approaching the 1200 Metres was eased to avoid GANGNAM STAR which shifted out slightly. Near the 350 Metres was briefly held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of COOL BLUE. Near the 250 Metres shifted out and away from COOL BLUE. GALLANT CROWN (D359): No report. RUBY SAILING (H347): Kicked a rail with both hind legs on entering the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its barrier. After the event, M L Yeung reported that the intention was to find cover on his mount, but when caught wide in the early stages RUBY SAILING was allowed to stride forward and lead. He added that RUBY SAILING raced too keenly in the lead and as a consequence gave ground when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. MANYTHANKS FOREVER (J065): Bumped on jumping. After the 1300 Metres was steadied when being crossed by GALLANT CROWN (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted in when not quite clear. Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care. Sent for sampling post-race. LINK (J177): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages from a wide barrier. FIRE BALL (D087): Bumped on jumping. MULTIDARLING (H148): Between the 350 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running. MIU FA FA (J145): After the 300 Metres was taken out by FIRE BALL when that runner shifted out and away from MANYTHANKS FOREVER. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. GO HERO (H315): After the event, K H Chan stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position, but on jumping GO HERO was crowded by RATTAN WORLD which shifted in and as a result settled further back than intended. RATTAN WORLD (G384): Shifted in at the start and was bumped. COOL BLUE (H011): No report. REGENCY HAPPY STAR (H248): Sent for sampling post-race. VERBIER (J187): Withdrawn on 28.12.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (heart irregularity) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter MIU FA FA. Before being allowed to race again, VERBIER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
