BIG RED (H299): No report. HAPPY UNIVERSE (J533): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. PRINCE ALEX (G307): After the event, H Bentley stated that his mount enjoyed a comfortable run during the race but finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SMART CITY (J213): After the event, Z Purton stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position. He said when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to continue forward to avoid racing wide. He said as a result of this SMART CITY was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CORLEONE (J426): For some distance approaching the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. EMBRACES (J276): For some distance near the 700 Metres raced keenly and leaving the 700 Metres was steadied away from UNITED ENDEAVORS. Sent for sampling post-race. TEAM HAPPY (J218): Bumped on jumping. FASHION LEGEND (J080): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. WAH MAY WAI WAI (J193): Bumped on jumping. Sent for sampling post-race. TAKE ACTION (J098): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Approaching the 1400 Metres raced tight to the inside of HAPPY UNIVERSE before that runner was corrected by its rider. Passing the 1300 Metres was steadied to avoid EMBRACES. For some distance approaching the 700 Metres raced keenly and after being steadied away from HAPPY UNIVERSE near the 700 Metres commenced a forward move thereafter where it raced very wide and without cover. Sent for sampling post-race. ISLAND GOLDEN (H018): Jumped only fairly and then raced tight between HAPPY UNIVERSE and SMART CITY which shifted out slightly. In the early stages, when caught wide, was allowed to stride forward where it obtained a position outside the leaders, however, ISLAND GOLDEN was obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter. For some distance approaching the 300 Metres raced tight between TAKE ACTION and TEAM HAPPY (A Pouchin) which shifted to the outside of SMART CITY. A Pouchin was advised to exercise more care. UNITED ENDEAVORS (G030): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
