JOHANNES BRAHMS (K014): No report. GRACIOUS EXPRESS (J188): For a short distance near the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining a narrow run between JOHANNES BRAHMS and BEAUTY CRESCENT. BEAUTY CRESCENT (H334): After being crossed by GRACIOUS EXPRESS near the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from that runner. BEAUTY CRESCENT was then shifted to the outside of GRACIOUS EXPRESS and raced wide and without cover thereafter. Sent for sampling post-race. KING MILES (J158): When questioned, C Y Ho stated that he had not intended on leading the event but had anticipated taking up a more forward position than previous starts due to a lack of pace in the event. He said KING MILES jumped well today and when other runners around him did not show the intent to lead, KING MILES led without being pressured to do so. When questioned regarding his riding on the Home Turn, he stated that when JOHANNES BRAHMS commenced to improve to his outside, he allowed KING MILES to shift away from the rail slightly to ensure his mount was afforded with clear running. He added he was not of the opinion that he had left sufficient room for a runner to improve to his inside and after the 400 Metres was surprised when he received a call from K Teetan, rider of SILVERY BREEZE when that runner improved to his inside. C Y Ho was advised that, wherever possible, he should attempt to ride his mounts in a more competitive manner. FIND MY LOVE (H110): Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. MASTER MASTERMIND (J024): Jumped awkwardly. Approaching the 1200 Metres MAGNIFICENT NINE (A Badel) shifted out when being corrected by its rider, resulting in MASTER MASTERMIND, which was racing keenly, being checked away from MAGNIFICENT NINE. A Badel was reprimanded. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the second occasion that MASTER MASTERMIND had bled, the horse is permanently barred from any further racing. Sent for sampling post-race. NEVER TOO SOON (E434): Approaching the 50 Metres was steadied away from KING MILES and shifted to that runner’s inside to obtain clear running. HYPER DRAGON BALL (G450): Shifted in at the start and was bumped. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. SILVERY BREEZE (K057): Sent for sampling post-race. FANTASTIC FUN (J364): Bumped at the start. TALE OF PERTH (J469): Shortly after the start was bumped by HYPER DRAGON BALL which shifted in. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. THUNDER BLINK (J019): Passing the 1300 Metres was momentarily crowded by MAGNIFICENT NINE which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. GIDDY UP (J020): Crowded at the start and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 1200 Metres was steadied to avoid MASTER MASTERMIND when that runner was taken out. MAGNIFICENT NINE (H433): Bumped at the start.
