Steward Report Predict Pace Map
PATCH OF COSMO (J357): Jumped only fairly. Between the 400 Metres and the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running between NORTHERN FIRE BALL and ETALON OR. In this incident, PATCH OF COSMO shifted out and made contact with ETALON OR on a number of occasions. Sent for sampling post-race. SANTORINI (J076): After the event, H Bowman stated that his mount was able to lead the event without being pressured and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. He said he could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. RUN YES RUN (J264): After the event, M Chadwick stated that he had anticipated CIRCUIT JOLLY continuing forward to cross SANTORINI which would allow his mount to obtain a position one-off. He said when CIRCUIT JOLLY remained racing to the outside of SANTORINI, RUN YES RUN was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and this was the reason for its failure to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BABY SATELLITE (J262): Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between SMILING EMPEROR and CIRCUIT JOLLY which shifted out. Leaving the 800 Metres when reluctant to hold its position to the inside of PATCH OF COSMO was steadied when racing tight to the inside of that runner. CIRCUIT JOLLY (J506): Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Near the 170 Metres jumped a mark on the track. ETALON OR (J273): Shifted in at the start, was bumped on the hindquarters and as a result became unbalanced. On a number of occasions between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres was bumped by PATCH OF COSMO. Prior to declaring weighed-in, the Stewards gave consideration if there were grounds for a protest/objection against PATCH OF COSMO being declared the winner on behalf of the connections of ETALON OR due to contact being made on a number of occasions between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres. As the Stewards were satisfied that there were not sufficient grounds due to both runners shifting ground and when connections did not lodge a protest/objection, weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. JUNEAU PRIDE (J443): On jumping was bumped heavily by ETALON OR which shifted in, resulting in JUNEAU PRIDE becoming unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race. KA YING ATTACK (J391): For a short distance approaching the 250 Metres lay in and was held up behind SANTORINI. NORTHERN FIRE BALL (J488): Fractious in the gates after being loaded. Was removed from the barriers, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Before being allowed to race again, NORTHERN FIRE BALL will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test and a warning was placed on its barrier manners. Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. TOP TIME (K006): In the early part of the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out. CASHISCASH (J369): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. When being shifted across behind runners in the early stages commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid PATCH OF COSMO which shifted out slightly. SMILING EMPEROR (J371): Shortly after the start was bumped. CONCORDE STAR (J344): No report.
