ORIENTAL SMOKE (E467): Jumped only fairly. After the 1300 Metres was steadied when taken wider by WINDICATOR FAMILY. Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. BEAUTY LIVE (G057): From the 900 Metres race wide and without cover. DEVAS TWELVE (H435): Bumped at the start. For some distance approaching the 300 Metres lay in and was reluctant to shift to the outside of ATOMIC BEAUTY and as a result had difficulty obtaining clear running. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when FLYING LUCK was shifted to the outside of BEAUTY ALLIANCE to obtain clear running. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FLYING LUCK (J339): From the 450 Metres to the 150 Metres was badly held up for clear running. SILVER UP (J078): L Ferraris was warned in relation to using the whip in a forward manner forward of the saddle on two occasions in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. VIVA CHALEUR (G368): Noted to have lost its left hind plate after the race. I AM THE BOSS (H446): A Hamelin was found guilty of a careless riding charge for causing interference after the 1300 Metres (see GOLD MASTER). Near the 250 Metres A Hamelin dropped his whip. SOLID WIN (J225): Sent for sampling post-race. GOLD MASTER (J389): A Hamelin (I AM THE BOSS) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that after the 1300 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of SOLID WIN, resulting in SOLID WIN being taken in onto VIVA CHALEUR, resulting in VIVA CHALEUR being taken in towards GOLD MASTER which resulted in GOLD MASTER losing its rightful running between YEE CHEONG RAIDER and VIVA CHALEUR, striking the heels of VIVA CHALEUR and blundering badly. A Hamelin was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 5 January 2025 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his excellent race riding record. Near the 1000 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied away from BEAUTY LIVE. Approaching the 600 Metres raced tight between ORIENTAL SMOKE and YEE CHEONG RAIDER which shifted out slightly. HAILTOTHEVICTORS (J508): Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind ORIENTAL SMOKE. After being shifted to the inside of GOLD MASTER approaching the 150 Metres again had difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages when racing tight between GOLD MASTER and BEAUTY LIVE. BEAUTY ALLIANCE (J260): Sent for sampling post-race. ATOMIC BEAUTY (H066): After the event, B Avdulla stated that the intention was to endeavour to find a position with cover on his mount. He said when caught wide in the early stages he allowed ATOMIC BEAUTY to stride forward to avoid covering additional ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. YEE CHEONG RAIDER (J176): After the 1300 Metres bumped with GOLD MASTER. WINDICATOR FAMILY (H419): After the 1300 Metres was checked to avoid GOLD MASTER and lost ground. For some distance thereafter in the middle stages raced keenly. Near the 200 Metres K Teetan had his whip knocked from his grasp by the whip of L Ferraris, rider of SILVER UP.
