MARIO (J100): Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. Near the 150 Metres was steadied when crowded between MULTIDARLING and REGENCY HAPPY STAR (A Atzeni) which shifted out. A Atzeni was reprimanded.
THE KHAN (H489): Slow to begin. Shifted out near the 600 Metres and made contact with HIGH RISE POWER.
YODA'S CHOICE (J146): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184): Jumped awkwardly and shifted out abruptly.
AROMATICA (H437): After the event, H Bentley reported that although his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event, it was still disappointing in that it gave ground noticeably in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of AROMATICA was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, AROMATICA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
LINK (J177): Jumped awkwardly and then from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. For some distance near the 300 Metres was shifted to the inside to secure clear running.
FLYING PHANTOM (J086): On jumping was crowded by SUPER CHARIZZARD which jumped awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. Sent for sampling post-race.
MULTIDARLING (H148): Approaching the 100 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between MARIO which was taken out by REGENCY HAPPY STAR and SUPER CHARIZZARD which shifted in and away from HARRY’S HERO.
HIGH RISE POWER (H353): HIGH RISE POWER, which was fractious in the starting gates, jumped only fairly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the 600 Metres was bumped and taken wider by THE KHAN which shifted out to improve. Noted to have blood in both nostrils after the race. A subsequent endoscopic examination conducted on HIGH RISE POWER confirmed the horse to be a bleeder. Before being allowed to race again, HIGH RISE POWER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
RATTAN WORLD (G384): No report.
HARRY'S HERO (H332): Sent for sampling post-race.
TSUEN WAN GLORY (E403): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LADY BILLIE (H365): No report.
REGENCY HAPPY STAR (H248): Shortly after the start was bumped by MARIO which shifted in. When questioned, A Atzeni stated that after being held up between TSUEN WAN GLORY and YODA’S CHOICE in the early part of the Home Straight, near the 300 Metres he commenced to improve to the outside of YODA’S CHOICE when he felt that runner was maintaining a straight course. He said after commencing to shift to the outside of YODA’S CHOICE, that runner then shifted out which resulted in REGENCY HAPPY STAR not being able to obtain clear running until near the 200 Metres.
