WITHOUT A FIGHT (K921): When questioned, M Zahra stated that the intention was to ride the horse in a midfield position. He said from the inside barrier WITHOUT A FIGHT jumped well and held a more forward position than he had anticipated. He added in the Home Straight WITHOUT A FIGHT hung in and he had some concerns with its action. Co-trainer S Freedman stated that the only explanation he could offer was that WITHOUT A FIGHT races best on surfaces with more give in it. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GIAVELLOTTO (K923): Near the 450 Metres was checked when disappointed for clear running between LA CITY BLANCHE and KA YING GENERATION which shifted out and away from WITHOUT A FIGHT when giving ground. As the Stewards were satisfied that GIAVELLOTTO had not established the running, no action was taken. Sent for sampling post-race.
LUXEMBOURG (J813): Was left racing wide and without cover from the 1200 Metres.
DUBAI HONOUR (G809): On jumping was bumped by CONTINUOUS which shifted in. Making the Home Turn and in the early part of the Home Straight made contact with FIVE G PATCH (B Avdulla) on a number of occasions as both runners contested a position behind WITHOUT A FIGHT and to the inside of KA YING GENERATION which was giving ground. B Avdulla was advised that in similar circumstances he should exercise more care to ensure runners positioned around him have comfortable racing room. Sent for sampling post-race.
IRESINE (K924): Jumped only fairly. From the 450 Metres until the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.
MARQUISAT (K925): Near the 450 Metres raced in restricted room between STELLENBOSCH and ENSUED which shifted out to improve. Near the 300 Metres M Barzalona dropped his whip. Bumped near the 150 Metres.
PRADARIA (K926): After the event, C Demuro stated that when he was concerned with the action of his mount under pressure in the Home Straight, he eased it down when not in a competitive position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FIVE G PATCH (G286): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running on the Home Turn and made contact with DUBAI HONOUR on a number of occasions when it contested a position behind WITHOUT A FIGHT.
CONTINUOUS (K927): Bumped at the start. In the Home Straight hung in. After the event, W Lordan reported that he was given no specific instructions other than to allow his mount to settle where comfortable. He said in the early stages CONTINUOUS did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
LA CITY BLANCHE (G371): Near the 450 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. After the event, M Chadwick confirmed his instructions were to take up an on-pace position with cover.
KA YING GENERATION (J075): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, KA YING GENERATION will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
ENSUED (H452): Approaching the 150 Metres raced tight between STELLENBOSCH and MARQUISAT and made contact with MARQUISAT.
STELLENBOSCH (K928): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race.
