MASSIVE ACTION (E445): In the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out.
SMART CITY (J213): Making the first turn near the 1300 Metres commenced to race keenly and shifted out when being steadied away from HAPPY DAILY. SMART CITY then continued to race keenly for some distance thereafter.
HAPPY AGAIN (J117): Near the 200 Metres was momentarily crowded for room between ON THE LASH and YOUTH POWER which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
HAPPY DAILY (E294): Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping. Was noted to have sustained a minor laceration to the left front leg after the race. Sent for sampling post-race.
THUNDERBOLTAURUS B (J281): Jumped only fairly, shifted in and made contact with the hindquarters of HAPPY DAILY.
HAKKA RADIANCE (J105): Shortly after the start was crowded between ON THE LASH and LUCKY BANNER, both of which shifted ground. Making the Home Turn near the 350 Metres improved into a narrow run to the inside of MASSIVE ACTION (K C Leung) as that runner attempted to improve to the outside of LUCKY BANNER. When MASSIVE ACTION then lay in, HAKKA RADIANCE was checked to avoid MASSIVE ACTION. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that HAKKA RADIANCE was endeavouring to improve into a tight run and Jockey Leung had made some effort to correct his mount, he was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. When questioned regarding his riding out over the concluding stages, Z Purton stated that after improving behind LUCKY BANNER when that runner shifted in towards the rail, he became positioned close to its heels and as a consequence was unable to test his mount over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
LUCKY BANNER (G354): Jumped awkwardly and shifted in. Sent for sampling post-race.
SUPER BABY (G364): After the 250 Metres was taken in slightly by HAPPY DAILY which shifted in.
DARCI JOY (E161): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
ON THE LASH (J182): Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and was bumped.
SKYEY BLUE (J212): In the early stages raced keenly when being shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
YOUTH POWER (H358): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
