OWNERS' PRAISE (H047): Jumped only fairly. THE ABSOLUTE (H438): After the race, H Bentley stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but his mount did not show sufficient pace to do so. He added THE ABSOLUTE made a respiratory noise during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. FORTUNE WHISKEY (J153): Shortly after the start was crowded by ACE ONE which shifted in and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FIGHTING MACHINE (J015): No report. HAPPY PARK (J311): No report. STORM LEGEND (G139): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 300 Metres was steadied when crowded between HAPPY DAILY and DRAGON FOUR SEAS which shifted out and away from ACE ONE. BRILLIANT EXPRESS (J321): Sent for sampling post-race. DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317): No report. ACE ONE (G196): After the 350 Metres shifted out when being bumped by AMAZING RUN. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. The performance of ACE ONE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ACE ONE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. IVICTORIAM (J226): No report. THE AZURE (J227): Jumped only fairly. HAPPY DAILY (E294): Sent for sampling post-race. AFFIRM (H306): No report. AMAZING RUN (H401): Near the 350 Metres blundered badly after striking the heels of BRILLIANT EXPRESS (H Bowman). The Stewards established that near the 350 Metres BRILLIANT EXPRESS commenced to improve to the outside of HAPPY DAILY when that runner shifted in towards the rail. BRILLIANT EXPRESS then shifted out slightly and was contacted on the hindquarters by AMAZING RUN, resulting in BRILLIANT EXPRESS being turned out and its rider H Bowman having to correct his mount. H Bowman was reprimanded for not making a greater effort to prevent his mount from shifting out. However, the Stewards were satisfied that the shift out from BRILLIANT EXPRESS was principally due to the contact on its hindquarters. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING RUN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MISTER FOX (J059): Withdrawn on 12.7.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (head injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter AMAZING RUN. Before being allowed to race again, MISTER FOX will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
