KA YING WARRIOR (H028): Shifted in at the start, resulting in its rider C L Chau having to correct his mount. After the race, C L Chau reported that from a wide barrier he was obliged to make use of his mount but was unable to lead when FUNG showed superior speed to his inside. He said in the Home Straight KA YING WARRIOR failed to respond to his riding and raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of KA YING WARRIOR was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, KA YING WARRIOR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SUGAR BALL (H394): No report. DEAL COMPLETED (J378): Near the 100 Metres lay in towards KA YING WARRIOR which was giving ground and as a result was steadied away from the heels of that runner. FIRST LOVE (J355): Sent for sampling post-race. LUCKY GENERATIONS (J338): In the middle stages raced keenly. PACKING ANGEL (J454): Near the 850 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by FUN N GLORY which shifted in before being corrected by its rider H Bentley. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight, L Hewitson state that after following KA YING WARRIOR, his intention was to shift to that runner’s outside to secure clear running. He said as he endeavoured to do so near the 350 Metres, PACKING ANGEL lay in and was reluctant to shift out due to FUN N GLORY being positioned to his outside. He added as a result he then looked to improve to the inside of KA YING WARRIOR, but when that runner shifted in, PACKING ANGEL then became held up behind KA YING WARRIOR until after the 250 Metres. VIEW OF THE WORLD (J348): Shortly after the start was crowded between X FACTOR and HAPPY FOR ALL which was taken in by KA YING WARRIOR when that runner shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. X FACTOR (J156): After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when it bumped with VIEW OF THE WORLD. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413): No report. FUNG (J101): Bumped at the start. After the race, H T Mo stated that his instructions were to settle where comfortable. He said FUNG commenced well and with blinkers on for the first time raced keenly in the early stages. He said as a result he allowed FUNG to stride forward and lead the event. FUN N GLORY (G003): Bumped at the start. Sent for sampling post-race. HAPPY FOR ALL (H181): Shortly after the start was bumped heavily and became unbalanced. OMAKASE (H416): No report. LORD OF THE ROSE (J297): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
