NEBRASKAN (J304): Approaching the 900 Metres raced keenly when being crossed by AFFIRM. When questioned, Z Purton stated that his mount raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. He said near the 300 Metres when a run presented between AFFIRM and SIGHT HAPPY, his mount did not immediately quicken to take advantage of that run which he contributed to the manner in which it raced throughout the early and middle stages. He added after NEBRASKAN then commenced to respond to his riding approaching the 100 Metres, it then became held up for clear running between AFFIRM and SUPER BONUS, both of which shifted ground slightly and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. ACE POWER (J181): No report. SEA AIR LEGEND (H318): Shortly after the start was bumped heavily by TAIHANG SCENERY and became unbalanced. After the race, H T Mo reported that his saddle shifted to the left side on jumping, placing him at some disadvantage throughout the event. DAY DAY VICTORY (J423): As the start was effected reared and as a consequence lost considerable ground. The barrier manners of DAY DAY VICTORY were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DAY DAY VICTORY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FLYING LUCK (J339): Lay in in the Home Straight when placed under pressure and near the 100 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of TAIHANG SCENERY to obtain clear running. NEW FUTURE FOLKS (J418): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. For a short distance approaching the 50 Metres raced tight to the inside of AFFIRM which shifted in. Sent for sampling post-race. SIGHT HAPPY (J261): Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of TAIHANG SCENERY. SPORTIC WARRIOR (J385): Jumped only fairly. Raced keenly in the early stages. MR VALIANT (G288): After the race, B Avdulla reported that the intention was to hold a more forward position, but when a number of runners to his inside commenced well and held their positions, he was obliged to race further back than intended to avoid racing wide. TAIHANG SCENERY (J314): Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped heavily. After being crossed by SIGHT HAPPY leaving the 1000 Metres commenced to over-race soon after and got its head up when being steadied away from that runner’s heels. SUPER BONUS (H259): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. AFFIRM (H306): No report. SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. MOLLY'S WITNESS (J121): No report.
