CAMPIONE (G235): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, CAMPIONE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CAPITAL DELIGHT (H262): Slow to begin. MAGNIAC (H141): Sent for sampling post-race. FIERY DIAMOND (G022): No report. ALL IS GOOD (G269): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SMOKEY BEAR (E126): Bumped on jumping. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running before shifting to the inside of MARK THE MOMENT to secure clear running. Sent for sampling post-race. TORONADO PHANTOM (E300): Crowded at the start and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. GOOD BUDDY (E097): Jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 700 Metres was taken wider when LADY’S CHOICE hung out and then raced wide and without cover thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MARK THE MOMENT (H088): No report. LADY'S CHOICE (H155): Jumped awkwardly and was bumped. Making the first turn near the 700 Metres hung out across FIERY DIAMOND and as a result was severely checked, resulting in LADY’S CHOICE losing significant ground. Near the 600 Metres LADY’S CHOICE was steadied away from GOOD BUDDY when it continued to hang out. The racing manners of LADY’S CHOICE were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LADY’S CHOICE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SPORTS LEGEND (H456): Bumped on jumping. SAVVY CHIC (G261): Slow to begin. MONTA FRUTTA (H455): Withdrawn on 23.1.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (heart irregularity) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter LADY’S CHOICE. Before being allowed to race again, MONTA FRUTTA will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
