JOLLY COMPANION (H454): Lay out in the Home Straight. Over the concluding stages was awkwardly placed close to VALIANT ELEGANCE.
MAGIC SUPREME (D144): Bumped near the 350 Metres.
TOP TOP TEA (H048): Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded shortly after the start. Near the 350 Metres was shifted to the outside of DIAMOND FLARE and made contact with MAGIC SUPREME. After the race, H Bowman stated that after initially responding to his riding in the early part of the Home Straight, TOP TOP TEA, which was having its first start on the All Weather Track, failed to let down which he attributed to racing on this surface for the first time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JUDY'S GREAT (J016): Bumped on jumping. For a short distance near the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, JUDY’S GREAT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SOLID SHALAA (H228): Bumped on jumping. Approaching the 200 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between MAYHEM and JOLLY COMPANION (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted out before being corrected by its rider. Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care. Was then shifted to the inside of JOLLY COMPANION to secure clear running thereafter. Noted to have sustained an abrasion to the right front leg after the race.
DIAMOND FLARE (H224): Shifted in at the start and was bumped. When commencing to give ground after the 350 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded between JOYFUL LIFE and MAYHEM which shifted out slightly to improve. After the race, L Ferraris reported that the only explanation he could offer for his mount’s disappointing performance was that it may have got its tongue back during the running of the event. Trainer M Newnham advised that the horse had pleased him leading into tonight’s event and he could only concur with the views of Jockey Ferraris. The performance of DIAMOND FLARE was considered to be disappointing as compared to its recent starts. Before being allowed to race again, DIAMOND FLARE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
MAYHEM (H226): Crowded shortly after the start.
SPEEDY SMARTIE (H108): Sent for sampling post-race.
JOYFUL LIFE (H426): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

VALIANT ELEGANCE (D285): No report.
STRIVE FOR GLORY (D186): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race.
