REWARDING TOGETHER (D334): After the race, M Chadwick stated that with the strong pace of the event, under its top weight, REWARD SMILE was unable to respond to his riding on the Home Turn and weakened in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, REWARDING TOGETHER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MAJESTIC STAR (E203): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. NORDIC DRAGON (G467): Made contact with a rail in the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. When questioned, Z Purton stated that entering the Home Straight he initially attempted to shift to the outside of REWARD SMILE to improve. He said when REWARD SMILE shifted out slightly, he then shifted to that runner’s inside at which time NORDIC DRAGON lay in and proved difficult to ride out. He added after establishing running to the inside of REWARD SMILE, NORDIC DRAGON commenced to run on but near the 200 Metres became held up behind CAMPIONE when disappointed for clear running between REWARD SMILE and CAMPIONE and as a result he checked away from CAMPIONE’s heels. He added that near the 100 Metres he was able to shift to the outside of REWARD SMILE whereby NORDIC DRAGON found the line reasonably well. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CAMPIONE (G235): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that there was blood at the left nostril. An endoscopic examination found that there was no blood in its trachea and therefore was deemed not to have bled. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. EASON (G061): Jumped only fairly. BUNDLE OF CHARM (G213): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. IMA SINGLE MAN (D476): Jumped awkwardly and then shortly after the start was crowded by MAJESTIC STAR (L Ferraris) which shifted in. L Ferraris was advised to exercise more care. Near the 550 Metres brushed the running rail and became unbalanced. GOKO WIN (H069): After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between REWARD SMILE and XPONENTIAL which shifted out. POWER KOEPP (E301): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. REWARD SMILE (H256): Shortly after the start was crowded for room. Sent for sampling post-race. SON PAK FU (G265): Sent for sampling post-race. XPONENTIAL (D049): No report.
