WE ARE HERO jumped awkwardly.
BEAUTY CHARGE was slow to begin and raced keenly in the early stages.
LUCKY WITH YOU jumped only fairly.
ATOMIC FORCE jumped awkwardly and shifted out and then got its head up and raced keenly in the early stages when being shifted across behind runners.
K Teetan (LUCKY WITH YOU), placed 7th, was reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race.
After the race, H Bowman (WE ARE HERO) reported that, in his opinion, WE ARE HERO is better suited down the straight 1000 Metres. He added nevertheless WE ARE HERO raced in a disappointing manner and may have reached the end of its preparation. A veterinary inspection of WE ARE HERO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
When questioned, Z Purton (GOLDEN EXPRESS) stated that whilst he expected to take up a forward position, his intention was to obtain cover. He said in the early stages, with the slow early pace, GOLDEN EXPRESS raced keenly and when caught three wide and without cover, he allowed GOLDEN EXPRESS to stride forward. He added that once he was able to cross COMPUTER PATCH near the 800 Metres, GOLDEN EXPRESS continued to race keenly and this was the reason as to why his mount was not able to finish the race off strongly. A veterinary inspection of GOLDEN EXPRESS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GOLDEN EXPRESS, BEAUTY CHARGE and ADIOS were sent for sampling.
