LOVING A BOOM began only fairly and then was crowded for room on jumping between ALL IN MIND and WHEN YOU BELIEVE which was taken out by BABY. Then shortly after this incident, WHEN YOU BELIEVE shifted out and bumped ALL IN MIND.
From wide barriers, AMAZING ONE PLUS and FAMILY FOLKS were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Near the 950 Metres, IGNITING commenced to travel very keenly and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of SPARKLING DRAGON.
Near the 750 Metres, SPARKLING DRAGON was hampered when steadied away from the heels of WHEN YOU BELIEVE (B Shinn) which shifted in when not properly clear. B Shinn was severely reprimanded and told to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
Near the 700 Metres, AMAZING ONE PLUS was left racing wide and without cover.
Near the 650 Metres, ALL IN MIND was awkwardly placed behind IGNITING which itself was racing close to the heels of SPARKLING DRAGON.
Passing the 400 Metres, BABY lost ground when crowded for room inside ALL IN MIND which was racing tight inside the heels of IGNITING which shifted in marginally. MR CROISSANT, which was following BABY, became unbalanced when being shifted out away from behind that horse.
Near the 150 Metres, LOVING A BOOM was shifted in away from the heels of IGNITING to obtain clear running.
Close to the finishing line, ALL IN MIND was held up for clear running behind SPARKLING DRAGON when racing tight inside LOVING A BOOM. Because of this, ALL IN MIND was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
A veterinary inspection of MR CROISSANT and WAR WEAPON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
IGNITING, SPARKLING DRAGON and LOVING A BOOM were sent for sampling.
