From the outside barriers, RICKFIELD and HELENE CHARISMA were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, LITTERATEUR was crowded for room inside SHARP SAILOR which got its head on the side and lay in away from PIKACHU. In this incident, SHARP SAILOR became unbalanced after bumping LITTERATEUR. Passing the 500 Metres, PIKACHU raced tight outside SHARP SAILOR which attempted to improve to the outside of DOCTOR GEOFF. Throughout the race, PIKACHU travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of RICKFIELD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DOCTOR GEOFF and INSAYSHABLE were sent for sampling.
