ELECTRONIC FIGHTER was withdrawn on 6.11.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter BRIGHT STAR (W C Marwing). Before being allowed to race again, ELECTRONIC FIGHTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HO WONGCHOY was slow to begin and then shortly after the start was steadied when crowded for room between AMBITIOUS TREASURE and FLYING UNICORN which shifted in after being bumped by THE UNTOUCHABLELAD. From wide barriers, JOLLY FINE and GOOD FELLOW were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Near the 300 Metres, MEDALLIST was momentarily crowded for room between FLYING UNICORN and BRIGHT STAR which shifted out. After the 200 Metres, K C Leung (NOBLE DE BEST) dropped his whip. Having regard to Jockey Leung’s previous record in respect of this matter, the Stewards considered it appropriate for him to be fined the sum of $15,000. A veterinary inspection of MY GOAL after the race did not show any significant findings. MEDALLIST, JOLLY FINE and ZACHARY were sent for sampling.
