DARK SECRET began awkwardly. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, M’S MAGIC failed to muster speed. After the 1600 Metres, MEDIC CHAMPION was momentarily crowded for room between BILLION GAINS and GOLDEN BOY which shifted in. When caught wide in the early stages after initially being ridden along, KINGSTON ELITE was steadied and taken across behind runners with a view to obtaining cover, however, was obliged to race wide and without cover throughout. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, FLYING KEEPER became unbalanced when crowded for room between MEDIC CHAMPION and GOOD LOOKING WATCH which shifted in marginally. After the 1100 Metres, M’S MAGIC commenced to over-race and got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLYING KEEPER. Passing the 200 Metres, AMAZING FORTUNE was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MEDIC CHAMPION. Over the concluding stages, POLYGOLD was steadied when crowded for room between DARK SECRET and MEDIC CHAMPION which was taken out by BILLION GAINS which got its head on the side and shifted out under pressure. A veterinary inspection of KINGSTON ELITE and M’S MAGIC after the race did not show any significant findings. GOOD LOOKING WATCH and AMAZING FORTUNE were sent for sampling.
