TURBO KING began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped heavily with LIBERATOR. Shortly after the start, MY GLORY was crowded for room between CAPTAIN SWEET and KHARU which shifted in after being bumped by WORLD WAY which in turn was bumped by DASHING ACE. From the outside barrier, AMAZING AWARD was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Near the 800 Metres, KHARU got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of TURBO KING which itself was racing close to the heels of FULFIL A WISH. Near the 200 Metres, CHEETAH BOY shifted out abruptly. Throughout the race, EXCELLENT WIN travelled wide and without cover. Apprentice T H So stated that it had been intended for CHEETAH BOY to be ridden in a forward position today, however, the horse began very awkwardly and threw its head up on a number of occasions, resulting in him becoming unbalanced in the saddle. He said he also lost the use of his left stirrup iron for a short distance. Apprentice So was advised to ensure he gives his mounts sufficient rein at the start. FULFIL A WISH and HINYUEN PALADIN were sent for sampling.
