REGENCY WINNER was checked and SUPER CAGA and BEST MILITARY were hampered when badly crowded for room between MAJESTIC HEART which shifted out after beginning awkwardly and PRECISION MAGIC which shifted in slightly. In this incident, SUPER CAGA blundered. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, BEST MILITARY was steadied away from the heels of KENOBE. Approaching the 1200 Metres, BEST MILITARY and MAJESTIC HEART bumped on a number of occasions. After the 1000 Metres, BEST MILITARY was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 500 Metres, KENOBE was checked when disappointed for running between PRECISION MAGIC and MAJESTIC HEART. A veterinary inspection of BEST MILITARY after the race revealed that the horse was lame in its right hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, BEST MILITARY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of SUPER CAGA after the race revealed that the horse had lost its left front plate and had sustained a cut to its left front heel. HAPPY AMBASSADOR, WIN PRACTITIONER and MAJESTIC HEART were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SILVER SUN was lame in its left front leg and that GILDED FLIGHT had lost its left front plate. Before being allowed to race again, SILVER SUN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
