WATCH WHAT HAPPENS was slow to begin. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, LU YUE failed to muster speed. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, LU YUE and FLEET COMMAND became unbalanced when crowded for room inside OPERATION SECRET which shifted in momentarily. WATCH WHAT HAPPENS, which was following, was steadied in consequence. Near the 1100 Metres, LU YUE was steadied away from the heels of SOUNDS BEST. Approaching the 600 Metres, LU YUE was steadied away from the heels of SOUNDS BEST which in turn was steadied away from the heels of DORDENMA which in turn was steadied away from the heels of SKYVIEW BAR. For the major part of the race, OPERATION SECRET travelled wide and without cover. Also for the major part of the race, WATCH WHAT HAPPENS hung in and in the Straight proved difficult to ride. E Saint-Martin (IRISH JIG) explained as the horse was stepping up in distance to 1650 Metres for the first time today, he was instructed to ride it more quietly than in recent starts to assist the horse in running out the distance at its first time of asking. OPERATION SECRET and IRISH JIG were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of OPERATION SECRET and IRISH JIG after the race did not show any significant findings. FLEET COMMAND, REALLY HAPPY and CONGRATS were sent for sampling.
