JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213): Slow into stride. Bumped with CHATEAU LE PECHE near the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
FURY AND GOLD (H202): Slow to begin and then was inconvenienced by FRUITY WARRIOR which shifted out on jumping. When over-racing in the early stages was obliged to race three wide and without cover for the majority of the race.
CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471): Approaching the 300 Metres was inconvenienced when bumped by JOYFUL PROSPERITY which shifted out to obtain clear running.
FRUITY WARRIOR (J035): Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of B Avdulla, 2nd placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race. YODA'S CHOICE (J146): Approaching the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid the heels of ISLAND GOLDEN which shifted in. Sent for sampling post-race.

SUPER ELITE (H247): For a short distance near the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. Jumped a mark on the track about the 175 Metres. After the race, H Bowman reported that the pre-race instructions were to ride his mount in a forward position, however, after his mount jumped awkwardly and from the wide barrier he was left with no option but to try and gain some cover further back in the field.
SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
VERBIER (J187): Near the 800 Metres, when over-racing, was steadied to avoid the heels of ISLAND GOLDEN.
EXCELLENT DADDY (E321): Made the turn near the 900 Metres awkwardly when over-racing and was taken out slightly by SUPER CHARIZZARD. From that point on EXCELLENT DADDY was obliged to race wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

LUCKY EIGHT (G204): Was noted to have sustained a small laceration to the right hind leg after the race. Sent for sampling post-race.
MAJESTIC EXPRESS (J244): After leaving the 500 Metres was unable to improve its position when held up until inside the 400 Metres. Approaching the winning post was bumped by SOLAR UP which shifted out momentarily under pressure.

HARMONY GALAXY (J266): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

MARKWIN (J420): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After passing the 400 Metres was held up for clear running until near the 200 Metres. After passing the 100 Metres, when finishing off strongly, shifted out to obtain clear running from behind AEROINVINCIBLE and in doing so made contact with GALLANT CROWN. When questioned, K C Leung explained that he had specific instructions to ride his mount with cover with a view to ensuring MARKWIN could finish the race off strongly. He said entering the Home Straight near the 400 Metres he was initially endeavouring to try and shift out to obtain clear running between FLYING LUCK and GOLDEN SAMURAI, however, was unable to do so without causing interference to SMASHING EXPRESS in the process as he was not sufficiently clear. He further stated that after being held up for some distance he made the only other decision available to him which was to shift back in to secure a run to the inside of CIRCUIT FIERY. He added that he then had difficulty again inside the final 100 Metres obtaining clear running between AEROINVINCIBLE and GALLANT CROWN. Trainer W K Mo confirmed the pre-race instructions. The Stewards, having the benefit of considering his explanation and reviewing the patrol films, were satisfied that his explanation for his decision-making in the early part of the Home Straight was reasonable in this instance. 06/10/2024 LT Shatin Turf A 1000m Going: GOOD TO FIRM (2.71) Rating: 079-061
MIDORI GLORY (J248): No report.
CARROLL STREET (D489): Passing the 400 Metres got unbalanced when being bumped by FAST NETWORK which shifted in in an attempt to obtain clear running and to avoid the heels of MIDORI GLORY. Near the 150 Metres, when commencing to give ground, was steadied to avoid the heels of FAST NETWORK (Z Purton) which shifted in when improving quickly onto the heels of CHEVAL VALIANT which shifted out under pressure. In all the circumstances, Z Purton was issued with a reprimand for his role in the incident.
FLYING HIGH (E204): Crowded for room shortly after the start as a result of CARROLL STREET shifting out. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running after passing the 400 Metres before gaining a clear run passing the 300 Metres.

06/10/2024 ST Shatin Turf A 1400m Going: GOOD TO FIRM (2.71) Rating: 059-041
RUN RUN TIMING (H403): Crowded for room on jumping between EXUBERANT and WINNING TURN which shifted out at the start. After the race, H Bentley reported that as a result of this incident his mount got further back in the field than was planned. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SUGAR BALL (H394): Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Home Straight.
EXUBERANT (E282): Near the 900 Metres was crowded for room by SKY TRUST which had improved to the inside of the heels of MILES AWAY which had already established a position one-off the fence in front of SKY TRUST. In all the circumstances, the Stewards were satisfied that there was no carelessness involved by any rider and therefore no further action was taken. Passing the 400 Metres, when laying in, was steadied and shifted in and away from the heels of MILES AWAY and in doing so resulted in LUCKY FIONN shifting out, inconveniencing the running of MAJESTIC COLOUR.

06/10/2024 LV Shatin All Weather Track 1650m Going: GOOD (9.85) Rating: 100-076
MOMENTS IN TIME (H474): Near the 1200 Metres was steadied to avoid the heels of TELECOM FIGHTERS (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted in when not fully clear. Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care. After the race, H Bowman reported that his mount did not feel right in its action in the early stages or the latter stages of the race and for this reason MOMENTS IN TIME was uncompetitive and tailed out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MOMENTS IN TIME was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MOMENT IN TIME will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.

KA YING GENERATION (J075): After the race, Z Purton reported that from a wide barrier his mount was unable to show sufficient speed to take up a more forward position. Trainer P C Ng confirmed that the pre-race plan was to endeavour to ride KA YING GENERATION in a midfield position, but given the quick tempo in the early stages, KA YING GENERATION was unable to show the necessary speed, particularly coming back in distance from 2400 Metres to 1650 Metres today. He also added it was the horse’s first start today on the All Weather track. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CAPITAL DELIGHT (H262): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. For some distance passing the 1200 Metres commenced to over-race when being restrained off the heels of BERLIN TANGO. Rounding the turn after the 400 Metres was held up for clear running and continued to have difficulty obtaining clear running for a major part of the Home Straight before shifting out near the 100 Metres.
