JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213): Slow into stride. Bumped with CHATEAU LE PECHE near the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race. FURY AND GOLD (H202): Slow to begin and then was inconvenienced by FRUITY WARRIOR which shifted out on jumping. When over-racing in the early stages was obliged to race three wide and without cover for the majority of the race. CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471): Approaching the 300 Metres was inconvenienced when bumped by JOYFUL PROSPERITY which shifted out to obtain clear running. FRUITY WARRIOR (J035): Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of B Avdulla, 2nd placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race. KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486): After the race, Y L Chung could offer no excuse for the disappointing performance of the horse as it failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. Shifted out slightly after the 200 Metres to avoid CHATEAU LE PECHE which was shifting ground inwards under pressure. JOYFUL CHAMPION (G072): After the race, K Teetan could offer no excuse for the disappointing performance of the horse as it failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. YODA'S CHOICE (J146): Approaching the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid the heels of ISLAND GOLDEN which shifted in. Sent for sampling post-race. YOUNG HORIZON (G272): Sent for sampling post-race. ISLAND GOLDEN (H018): No report. SUPER ELITE (H247): For a short distance near the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. Jumped a mark on the track about the 175 Metres. After the race, H Bowman reported that the pre-race instructions were to ride his mount in a forward position, however, after his mount jumped awkwardly and from the wide barrier he was left with no option but to try and gain some cover further back in the field. SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. VERBIER (J187): Near the 800 Metres, when over-racing, was steadied to avoid the heels of ISLAND GOLDEN. EXCELLENT DADDY (E321): Made the turn near the 900 Metres awkwardly when over-racing and was taken out slightly by SUPER CHARIZZARD. From that point on EXCELLENT DADDY was obliged to race wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. CERVIN (H253): No report. GALLANT GOODY (H434): Jumped awkwardly. Passing the winning post was placed in restricted room between ISLAND GOLDEN and CERVIN. TELECOM BULLET (J097): After the race, K Teetan could offer no explanation for the horse’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DASH AVENUE (H327): After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount was making a respiratory noise. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in its trachea and also found the horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. Before being allowed to race again, DASH AVENUE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ALMIGHTY KICK (J254): No report. INVINCIBLE DELIGHT (J372): No report. VICTORYTHIRTYTHREE (J216): Jumped a little awkwardly with its head up. After the race, M F Poon reported that his mount over-raced in the early stages and subsequently failed to finish the race off. After the race, K Teetan reported that his mount never travelled at any stage during the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MAJESTIC EXPRESS (J244): After leaving the 500 Metres was unable to improve its position when held up until inside the 400 Metres. Approaching the winning post was bumped by SOLAR UP which shifted out momentarily under pressure. MACANESE MASTER (J532): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. YEAH BUDDY (J430): No report. FUN N FUN TOGETHER (J232): Sent for sampling post-race. GOLD MASTER (J389): Raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres. Approaching the winning post was steadied to avoid the heels of MAJESTIC EXPRESS. QINGYUAN STAR (J350): After passing the 300 Metres K C Leung had difficulty using his whip after getting it entangled in the reins for a short distance. SOLAR UP (J134): After passing the 900 Metres was placed in restricted room for a short distance inside LUCKY EIGHT which was racing tight to the inside of ROBOT KNIGHT. Bumped with MAJESTIC EXPRESS approaching the winning post. Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race. ROBOT KNIGHT (H464): After passing the 400 Metres was held up for clear running. HARMONY GALAXY (J266): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. AEROINVINCIBLE (J180): Sent for sampling post-race. DREAM PURSUER (G241): Slow to begin. Lay in for a major part of the Home Straight. GOLDEN SAMURAI (H024): After the race, C Y Ho reported that his mount would derive benefit from today’s first up performance. SOLID WIN (J225): No report. FLYING LUCK (J339): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. MARKWIN (J420): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After passing the 400 Metres was held up for clear running until near the 200 Metres. After passing the 100 Metres, when finishing off strongly, shifted out to obtain clear running from behind AEROINVINCIBLE and in doing so made contact with GALLANT CROWN. When questioned, K C Leung explained that he had specific instructions to ride his mount with cover with a view to ensuring MARKWIN could finish the race off strongly. He said entering the Home Straight near the 400 Metres he was initially endeavouring to try and shift out to obtain clear running between FLYING LUCK and GOLDEN SAMURAI, however, was unable to do so without causing interference to SMASHING EXPRESS in the process as he was not sufficiently clear. He further stated that after being held up for some distance he made the only other decision available to him which was to shift back in to secure a run to the inside of CIRCUIT FIERY. He added that he then had difficulty again inside the final 100 Metres obtaining clear running between AEROINVINCIBLE and GALLANT CROWN. Trainer W K Mo confirmed the pre-race instructions. The Stewards, having the benefit of considering his explanation and reviewing the patrol films, were satisfied that his explanation for his decision-making in the early part of the Home Straight was reasonable in this instance. GALLANT CROWN (D359): Jumped very awkwardly and as a result stumbled. After passing the 100 Metres was bumped by MARKWIN. MIDORI GLORY (J248): No report. CARROLL STREET (D489): Passing the 400 Metres got unbalanced when being bumped by FAST NETWORK which shifted in in an attempt to obtain clear running and to avoid the heels of MIDORI GLORY. Near the 150 Metres, when commencing to give ground, was steadied to avoid the heels of FAST NETWORK (Z Purton) which shifted in when improving quickly onto the heels of CHEVAL VALIANT which shifted out under pressure. In all the circumstances, Z Purton was issued with a reprimand for his role in the incident. FLYING HIGH (E204): Crowded for room shortly after the start as a result of CARROLL STREET shifting out. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running after passing the 400 Metres before gaining a clear run passing the 300 Metres. CELESTIAL COLOURS (H362): Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race. Sent for sampling post-race. PLEASANT ENDEAVOR (E114): No report. ALPHA ONE (J435): Sent for sampling post-race. FAST NETWORK (J358): Tightened for room shortly after the start between KA YING CHEER and FLYING HIGH which shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race. DASHING DRAGON (J464): No report. KING PROFIT (J539): Crowded for room shortly after the start between DASHING DRAGON and MIDORI GLORY (M F Poon) which shifted out. M F Poon was warned for failing to make a greater effort to keep his mount straight shortly after the start. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. STAR GLOW (J429): No report. SUMMIT CHEERS (E221): Jumped very awkwardly, resulting in H Bentley having to adjust his left side stirrup iron a short distance after the start. KA YING CHEER (H369): No report. CHEVAL VALIANT (E336): After passing the 300 Metres shifted out several horses under pressure. ONE FOR ALL (G012): Jumped awkwardly. RUN RUN TIMING (H403): Crowded for room on jumping between EXUBERANT and WINNING TURN which shifted out at the start. After the race, H Bentley reported that as a result of this incident his mount got further back in the field than was planned. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SUGAR BALL (H394): Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Home Straight. EXUBERANT (E282): Near the 900 Metres was crowded for room by SKY TRUST which had improved to the inside of the heels of MILES AWAY which had already established a position one-off the fence in front of SKY TRUST. In all the circumstances, the Stewards were satisfied that there was no carelessness involved by any rider and therefore no further action was taken. Passing the 400 Metres, when laying in, was steadied and shifted in and away from the heels of MILES AWAY and in doing so resulted in LUCKY FIONN shifting out, inconveniencing the running of MAJESTIC COLOUR. HONG KONG HALL (G315): After the race, Apprentice P N Wong explained that from a wide barrier she had to make considerable use of her mount in the early stages to cross and obtain the lead. She said after this HONG KONG HALL had a tendency to over-race and subsequently failed to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. YOUNG SUPERSTAR (J400): No report. MAGNIAC (H141): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MOMENTS IN TIME (H474): Near the 1200 Metres was steadied to avoid the heels of TELECOM FIGHTERS (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted in when not fully clear. Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care. After the race, H Bowman reported that his mount did not feel right in its action in the early stages or the latter stages of the race and for this reason MOMENTS IN TIME was uncompetitive and tailed out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MOMENTS IN TIME was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MOMENT IN TIME will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments. SWORD POINT (G448): Sent for sampling post-race. ALL FOR ST PAUL'S (C517): No report. TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482): No report. ADEFILL (G317): Sent for sampling post-race. CHILL CHIBI (H109): Approaching the turn near the 700 Metres was taken wider to a position three wide and without cover by CAPITAL DELIGHT which shifted out to gain a trailing position one-off the fence behind TURIN MASCOT. As a result, CHILL CHIBI raced three wide and without cover for the remainder of the event. BERLIN TANGO (E120): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. KA YING GENERATION (J075): After the race, Z Purton reported that from a wide barrier his mount was unable to show sufficient speed to take up a more forward position. Trainer P C Ng confirmed that the pre-race plan was to endeavour to ride KA YING GENERATION in a midfield position, but given the quick tempo in the early stages, KA YING GENERATION was unable to show the necessary speed, particularly coming back in distance from 2400 Metres to 1650 Metres today. He also added it was the horse’s first start today on the All Weather track. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. RED HARE KING (H188): No report. CAPITAL DELIGHT (H262): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. For some distance passing the 1200 Metres commenced to over-race when being restrained off the heels of BERLIN TANGO. Rounding the turn after the 400 Metres was held up for clear running and continued to have difficulty obtaining clear running for a major part of the Home Straight before shifting out near the 100 Metres. APACHE PASS (D433): Was a little slow to begin. TURIN MASCOT (H165): No report.
