IVICTORIAM (J226): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear running on the Home Turn. H Bowman pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference approaching the 100 Metres (see TRIPLE BLISS). TRIPLE BLISS (J310): H Bowman pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the 100 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of WINNING SEVEN, resulting in WINNING SEVEN being taken in onto MEDIC ELITE, taking MEDIC ELITE across the running of TRIPLE BLISS, resulting in TRIPLE BLISS having to be checked. H Bowman was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 11 December 2024 at Happy Valley. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very good race riding record. THE CONCENTRATION (H465): No report. RIGHT HONOURABLE (A164): Near the 350 Metres was checked to avoid FALCON COURT. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, RIGHT HONOURABLE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FALCON COURT (J056): When giving ground on the Home Turn was steadied when crowded between RED MAVERICK and WINNING SEVEN which shifted out slightly to improve. After the event, Z Purton reported that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and came under pressure on the Home Turn before weakening in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of FALCON COURT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FALCON COURT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CERVIN (H253): Jumped only fairly. In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1200 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from SUPERB MOVE. K De Melo was questioned in relation to his riding out of the horse to the finish. He said over the concluding stages when he put his whip away, he reduced the vigour for a short period before recommencing when he observed INVINCIBLE MISSILE improving quickly to his outside. Jockey De Melo was advised that at all times he should ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race so that he does not compromise his placing in the field. Sent for sampling post-race. INVINCIBLE MISSILE (C037): Slow to begin. Sent for sampling post-race. WINNING SEVEN (J005): Jumped awkwardly. Approaching the 100 Metres was hampered when taken in. COOL BLUE (H011): No report. MEDIC ELITE (G129): Approaching the 100 Metres was hampered when taken in. When questioned, A Badel stated that after being held up on the Home Turn behind TRIPLE BLISS, he was able to improve to that runner’s outside near the 300 Metres. He said after obtaining a narrow run between WINNING SEVEN and TRIPLE BLISS, his mount was crowded near the 100 Metres and in the circumstances he was not too disappointed with the performance of the horse. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. HARMONY GALAXY (J266): Jumped awkwardly and then shortly after was crowded between SNOWALOT and UNITED ENDEAVORS which shifted out. Near the 600 Metres was bumped by YEAH BUDDY which lay in. After the event, J McDonald stated that whilst he had expected to take up a forward position, it was not his intention to lead. He said after obtaining the lead in the early stages HARMONY GALAXY was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead in the middle stages when YEAH BUDDY went forward. He said as a consequence HARMONY GALAXY gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. STURDY RUBY (H207): No report. SNOWALOT (E397): On jumping was crowded between HARMONY GALAXY and YODA’S CHOICE which jumped awkwardly and shifted in. APOLAR FIGHTER (J169): No report. DOUBLE WIN (H382): Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race. Before being allowed to race again, DOUBLE WIN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. YEAH BUDDY (J430): Raced wide and without cover in the early stages and was then ridden forward leaving the 900 Metres where it was able to take up a position outside the lead approaching the 700 Metres. When giving ground near the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded between HARMONY GALAXY and TAKE ACTION which, after improving to the inside of YODA’S CHOICE, shifted in when making contact with that runner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FOOLISH HEART (J054): Jumped awkwardly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. UNITED ENDEAVORS (G030): Shifted out on jumping and was bumped. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. WINDICATOR FAMILY (H419): Held up for clear running on the Home Turn. Near the 250 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running to the inside of DOUBLE WIN. As a result, WINDICATOR FAMILY did not obtain clear running until approaching the 200 Metres. NINJA DERBY (H339): Approaching the 1400 Metres when racing tight to the inside of HARMONY GALAXY commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid UNITED ENDEAVORS. Sent for sampling post-race. TAKE ACTION (J098): Near the 250 Metres raced tight to the inside of YODA’S CHOICE and made contact with that runner. Lay out over the concluding stages. Sent for sampling post-race. YODA'S CHOICE (J146): Jumped awkwardly and was bumped shortly after the start. Near the 250 Metres was bumped.

COSMO NAVIGATOR (H156): K C Leung was found guilty of a careless riding charge for causing interference approaching the 800 Metres (see RUBY SAILING). Hampered and taken out near the 100 Metres. RUBY SAILING (H347): Bumped at the start. K C Leung (COSMO NAVIGATOR) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the 800 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of RUBY SAILING, resulting in RUBY SAILING having to be checked away from the heels of COSMO NAVIGATOR. K C Leung was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Thursday, 26 December 2024 and to expire on Thursday, 2 January 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). In addition, Jockey Leung was fined $55,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his poor race riding record. Passing the 50 Metres was eased when placed in restricted room between VERBIER and COSMO NAVIGATOR which was taken out. When questioned, Z Purton stated that his mount, which is a reported "roarer”, raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages of the event and made a respiratory noise in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. Sent for sampling post-race. Near the 700 Metres made contact with the running rail when racing tight to the inside of JOYFUL FRIENDSHIP. H Bentley (WINNING HEART) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 100 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when not clear of COSMO NAVIGATOR, resulting in COSMO NAVIGATOR being taken out and crowding the running of COUNTRY DANCER which was checked. After the event, M F Poon reported that his mount did not travel well during the event and may not have appreciated the "Good to Yielding” track condition. JOYFUL FRIENDSHIP (H295): Shortly after the start was bumped. Passing the 50 Metres was checked to avoid COUNTRY DANCER. After the event, J McDonald reported that after settling back in the field his mount was under pressure from the 600 Metres and in the Home Straight was unable to make up any ground. SMART CITY (J213): No report. LEEDOX (J154): Bounded on jumping and lost ground. VIVA GRACIOUSNESS (J079): M Chadwick was questioned in relation to his riding out over the concluding stages. He agreed with the Stewards that in retrospect he had desisted from riding his mount out too soon. He was advised that at all times he should ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race so that he does not compromise his placing in the field. Sent for sampling post-race. CAN'T GO WONG (H087): No report. FOREMOST TEDDY (J058): After the event, J McDonald reported that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the race and as a result did not respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. U S S CONSTITUTION (H357): Bumped at the start. Held up for clear running on the Home Turn. STRONGEST BOY (H027): Near the 1500 Metres was steadied to avoid VIVA GRACIOUSNESS (M Chadwick) which shifted in when not quite clear. M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care. Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when placed in restricted room between SMART CITY and SUPER BABY which shifted in slightly. After the event, Z Purton stated that his instructions were to settle his mount where comfortable. He said in the early stages he was obliged to make some use of his mount to cross U S S CONSTITUTION which resulted in STRONGEST BOY having to be ridden slightly more forward than what he had anticipated. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MISTER DAPPER (H376): No report. STAR LINE (J110): No report. SUPER BABY (G364): After the event, H Bowman confirmed his instructions were to lead the event. He said despite riding his mount along in the early stages it failed to show sufficient pace to do so. He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to obtain a trailing position behind FOREMOST TEDDY and as a result SUPER BABY settled further back than had been intended. COURIER MAGIC (H290): Jumped awkwardly and then bumped with U S S CONSTITUTION. Making the Home Turn near the 400 Metres became unbalanced when improving into a tight run to the inside of GLUCK RACER. Sent for sampling post-race. GLUCK RACER (E157): Jumped awkwardly, got its head up and as a consequence lost ground.

TRIUMPHANT MORE (J489): Made contact with the right side of its barrier on jumping and became unbalanced and then shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between SPORTIC WARRIOR and CAMP FIRE which shifted in. After the 900 Metres commenced to race fiercely and got its head up when positioned close to STORMING DRAGON. TRIUMPHANT MORE then continued to race fiercely for some distance thereafter. STORMING DRAGON (J237): On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to STORMING DRAGON was refitted. Sent for sampling post-race. E UNIVERSE (H151): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. EXUBERANT (E282): Bounded on jumping. MACANESE MASTER (J532): Making the turn in the middle stages lay in and made contact with FUNG after the 500 Metres. SPICY SPANGLE (J087): No report. SPORTIC WARRIOR (J385): No report. CAMP FIRE (J259): Shifted in on jumping and was bumped. In the early stages got its head up and raced keenly when being shifted across behind runners to obtain cover from a wide barrier. Near the 100 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between SPORTIC WARRIOR and FUNG, both of which shifted ground slightly. LUCKY MAN (J315): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. AFFIRM (H306): Sent for sampling post-race. SPEED SWORD (H397): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. FUNG (J101): For some distance after the 500 Metres raced tight to the inside of MACANESE MASTER and was bumped by that runner.

MOTOMAN (J436): Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied when crowded by FUN N GLORY which shifted in as it hung in. Near the 600 Metres became unbalanced when it shifted away from the running rail after FUN N GLORY, which was racing in advance, made contact with the rail. After the event, Z Purton could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HAYDAY (H321): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ORIENTAL SURPRISE (K028): Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (H379): Sent for sampling post-race. TELECOM DRAGON (H322): For some distance near the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between FUN N GLORY and SPICY SO SMART. Noted to have blood in its mouth after the race. Sent for sampling post-race. THE PRIME (J352): In the early stages raced tight between MOTOMAN and TELECOM DRAGON which shifted in slightly. LUCKY PLANET (H235): Near the 900 Metres, when racing ungenerously, shifted in and was steadied away from HAYDAY when that runner shifted out slightly at the same point. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. LOVING VIBES (J359): On jumping was steadied when crowded between MIU FA FA and SPICY SO SMART which shifted out. Near the 200 Metres was steadied when it shifted out towards the heels of LUCKY PLANET when that runner shifted in after making contact with MIU FA FA which shifted in slightly. As the Stewards were satisfied that the racing manners of LOVING VIBES was the main reason for the incident occurring, no action was taken. FUN N GLORY (G003): Near the 600 Metres made contact with the running rail. Sent for sampling post-race. HELENE WARRIOR (J207): After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong reported that from a wide barrier he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to lead. He said as a result HELENE WARRIOR was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SIMPLY MAVERICK (H346): Jumped awkwardly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. APACHE PASS (D433): Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between SILO and LOVERO which shifted out. LOVERO (H451): The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in as they observed an incident had occurred approaching the 50 Metres when LOVERO was bumped and taken in by SUPER UNICORN (Z Purton) which placed doubt as to whether SUPER UNICORN should be declared the winner of the race. Subsequently Y L Chung, rider of LOVERO, second placegetter, lodged a protest/objection against SUPER UNICORN being declared the winner alleging interference over the concluding stages of the event. After considering the evidence, the Stewards found that near the 50 Metres SUPER UNICORN shifted in and made contact with LOVERO, taking that horse in and resulting in LOVERO losing momentum during that incident. As the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that had that interference not occurred LOVERO would have finished in advance of SUPER UNICORN, the protest/objection was sustained and the placings amended to read No. 4, LOVERO, 1st; No. 12, SUPER UNICORN, 2nd; No. 6, ROMANTIC LAOS, 3rd; and No. 8, I CAN, 4th. Z Purton was advised to exercise more care and that he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts. When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer A S Cruz stated that the horse benefited from its first up performance on 11 September 2024 and had pleased him in a barrier trial at Conghua on 25 October 2024 and this was the principal reason for the horse’s improved performance tonight. TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122): Near the 250 Metres was steadied to avoid ROMANTIC LAOS when that runner was taken out by I CAN (A Badel) which shifted out when not quite clear. A Badel was advised to exercise more care. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. ROMANTIC LAOS (G476): Leaving the 1500 Metres was checked when crowded by SUPER UNICORN which, after shifting in despite the efforts of its rider Z Purton, then raced tight to the inside of SOLEIL FIGHTER (M F Poon) which shifted in. M F Poon was reprimanded. Approaching the 250 Metres was bumped and taken out by I CAN. SILO (J399): Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Approaching the 1500 Metres was steadied to obtain cover behind ROMANTIC LAOS when racing tight to the inside of SUPER UNICORN. I CAN (H381): For some distance near the 250 Metres was shifted out to obtain clear running and made contact with ROMANTIC LAOS. SOLEIL FIGHTER (J127): After the event, M F Poon stated that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to cross runners to his inside and as a result SOLEIL FIGHTER was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TOY SOLTERO (J268): No report. SECOND TO NONE (H319): No report. SUPER UNICORN (H481): Shifted in near the 50 Metres and bumped with LOVERO. Relegated to second on protest/objection (see LOVERO). Sent for sampling post-race.

HARMONY N BLESSED (E061): After the 900 Metres shifted in to obtain cover behind GLORY ELITE and then commenced to race keenly and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that runner for some distance. BUNDLE OF CHARM (G213): No report. LUCKY ENCOUNTER (H274): Near the 250 Metres was steadied away from BEAUTY CHARGE when that runner shifted out abruptly to avoid JAMES TAK. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY ENCOUNTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BEAUTY CHARGE (G231): Knuckled on jumping. Near the 250 Metres was steadied and shifted out to avoid JAMES TAK. Sent for sampling post-race. GORGEOUS WIN (J008): Raced keenly in the early stages. Approaching the 600 Metres was taken wider by LUCKY ENCOUNTER which shifted out. GORGEOUS WIN then raced wide and without cover thereafter. RAGING BLIZZARD (H368): Jumped only fairly. Making the Home Turn near the 350 Metres became unbalanced when positioned close to SING DRAGON. Sent for sampling post-race. JAMES TAK (J007): Jumped only fairly. Near the 250 Metres was checked when crowded between GORGEOUS WIN (J McDonald) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider and GLORY ELITE (K C Leung) which shifted out and away from I GIVE. In this incident, GLORY ELITE was contacted on the hindquarters, resulting in that runner being turned out further into the running of JAMES TAK. As the Stewards were satisfied that the shifts from Jockeys McDonald and K C Leung were only of a minor nature, they were both asked in similar circumstances to exercise more care. GLORY ELITE (H311): Sent for sampling post-race. WONDER KIT (G455): Near the 150 Metres L Hewitson dropped his left rein for a short distance. Sent for sampling post-race. SING DRAGON (J141): Held up making the Home Turn and near the 300 Metres was shifted to the inside of WONDER KIT to secure clear running. I GIVE (H036): Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of M F Poon, 7th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race.

NEARLY FINE (E430): Was fractious whilst being transported to Happy Valley and sustained a small abrasion to the right hind leg. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. YOUNG EMPEROR (K011): Bumped at the start. After the event, L Ferraris reported that from an inside barrier his mount settled a little closer in the run than at its first race start. He said after being inconvenienced near the 700 Metres when PRAWNS ELEVEN shifted out, his mount, under 134 lbs, did not finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. EASON (G061): Lay in over the concluding stages, resulting in its rider M F Poon having to correct his mount passing the winning post. Sent for sampling post-race. GUSTOSISIMO (J303): Making the first turn after the 1000 Metres was bumped by ROMANTIC SON. Sent for sampling post-race. PRAWNS ELEVEN (J140): After the 700 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from ROMANTIC SON. On straightening was steadied and shifted to the inside of GOLDEN LUCK to continue into clear running. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DENFIELD (G471): Near the 300 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of PRAWNS ELEVEN to continue into clear running. Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when placed in restricted room between GUSTOSISIMO and EASON which shifted in. GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. ROMANTIC SON (J537): Making the first turn was bumped. After the event, Z Purton stated that the only explanation he could offer for the horse’s performance was that ROMANTIC SON did not appreciate the "Good to Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ROMANTIC SON was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race start. Before being allowed to race again, ROMANTIC SON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BEAUTY INFINITY (H377): Crowded on jumping between YOUNG EMPEROR and SOVEREIGN FUND, both of which shifted ground. After the 200 Metres was held up for clear running between GOLDEN LUCK and EASON which shifted in slightly. As a result, BEAUTY INFINITY did not obtain clear running until after the 150 Metres. SOVEREIGN FUND (J402): On jumping was bumped and became unbalanced. Leaving the 1100 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by GOLDEN EMPIRE which shifted in and away from ROMANTIC SON before being corrected by its rider.
