MISTER FOX (J059): When questioned, B Avdulla stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to ride his mount conservatively in the early stages to allow it the opportunity to finish the race off. He said throughout the event whilst he was aware that the pace was slow and being run outside of standard time and his mount was over-racing, he was reluctant to allow MISTER FOX to stride forward from the 800 Metres when KASA PAPA started a forward move as this would be contrary to his instructions. He added after KASA PAPA obtained the lead in the Back Straight and the pace of the event quickened, MISTER FOX settled better but was still disappointing in its failure to run on in the Home Straight. Trainer D J Hall confirmed that the instructions were to ride MISTER FOX back in the field from its outside barrier. He said given that MISTER FOX had been racing out of form, he had instructed B Avdulla to provide the horse with every opportunity to finish the race off strongly and therefore was satisfied with the tactics adopted by Jockey Avdulla in not going forward in the middle stages of the event. TATTENHAM (H121): Was fractious in the starting gates as the start was effected, then reared and lost ground. Having regard to TATTENHAM’s previous unacceptable barrier history, the horse will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial before being allowed to race again. After the event, K Teetan reported that although his mount jumped awkwardly and lost ground, he was able to obtain a midfield position where he had anticipated settling. He said TATTENHAM was disadvantaged by the pace of the event being run outside of standard time in the early stages which made it difficult to make up any ground in the Home Straight. RUNNING AHEAD (G313): After the event, C L Chau reported that his mount was disadvantaged by the slow early pace of the event and found it difficult to quicken when the pace increased from the 600 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. RIGHT HONOURABLE (A164): Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. YEABOI (G372): No report.

PARENTS' LOVE (H405): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. SPEEDY FORTUNE (H097): Shifted in abruptly on jumping. Sent for sampling post-race. ACE TALENT (H046): After the event, H Bowman stated that his mount lay out throughout the race but failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. The performance of ACE TALENT was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, ACE TALENT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GOOD VIEW GLORY (H154): Lay out in the early stages. LAPRAS (H374): Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by SPEEDY FORTUNE which shifted in abruptly. DIAMOND SOARS (G201): No report. PLENTIFUL (G400): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GOODMANSHIP (E208): Approaching the 900 Metres raced in restricted room between DOUBLE SHOW and GOOD VIEW GLORY which lay out despite the efforts of its rider. MAGIC TRAVELLER (H102): Jumped only fairly. Noted to have blood in its mouth after the race. DOUBLE SHOW (G250): Approaching the 900 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Approaching the 200 Metres H Bentley dropped his left rein for a short distance. Lay in in the Home Straight, resulting in its rider H Bentley pulling his whip through to his right hand approaching the 100 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

NORTHERN BEAST (H233): After the event, H Bowman reported that he was able to obtain a position outside the leader BEER PALACE in the early stages but NORTHERN BEAST failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. He said, in his opinion, NORTHERN BEAST may be better suited by being ridden with cover. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FAIRY HORSE (J144): Jumped awkwardly and then shortly after the start was bumped by CONFRINGO which shifted out. Lay in over the final 200 Metres and approaching the winning post became awkwardly positioned close to the heels of CONFRINGO. After the event, A Badel reported that after jumping awkwardly and then being crowded for room, FAIRY HORSE settled slightly further back than intended. He said, in his opinion, FAIRY HORSE did not run out tonight’s 1650 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. KIMBERLEY (H329): Approaching the 200 Metres was shifted to the inside of NORTHERN BEAST in an attempt to obtain clear running but then raced tight to the inside of NORTHERN BEAST, resulting in KIMBERLEY having difficulty obtaining clear running between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres. CHARITY GAIN (H431): Approaching the 200 Metres was shifted to the outside of UNITED ENDEAVORS to continue into clear running. Near the 150 Metres CHARITY GAIN was then held up behind TO INFINITY when that runner lay in and as a result CHARITY GAIN did not obtain clear running until leaving the 100 Metres. BEER PALACE (H361): After the event, L Ferraris reported that after being placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise. ON THE LASH (J182): As the start was effected, bounded and made contact with the left side of its barrier, resulting in its rider K De Melo becoming unbalanced and ON THE LASH losing ground. LITTLE FAIRY (H206): No report. UNITED ENDEAVORS (G030): When giving ground near the 150 Metres was steadied when crowded between NORTHERN BEAST and CHARITY GAIN which shifted in. FLYING WROTE (J290): Withdrawn on 7.10.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (colic) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter FAIRY HORSE. Before being allowed to race again, FLYING WROTE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

GOLDEN RISE (H242): After the event, B Avdulla reported that approaching the 100 Metres his mount was held up for clear running between NEVER PETER OUT and SWEET DIAMOND which was giving ground and as a result was unable to be fully ridden out to the finish of the event. Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race. UNISON (H423): Bumped shortly after the start. YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (H379): From the outside barrier jumped awkwardly and then was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Over the final 200 Metres lay in. SWEET DIAMOND (G063): Jumped only fairly. Despite being ridden along in the early stages did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. WORLD HERO (J413): No report. FORTUNE RACER (J234): Jumped only fairly. Making the Home Turn raced tight to the inside of WORLD HERO. SO TREASURE (H351): Near the 200 Metres shifted out and away from UNISON. After the event, L Ferraris and Trainer M Newnham confirmed that from a wide barrier the instructions were to ride SO TREASURE in a conservative manner in the early stages. NEVER PETER OUT (J200): Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped. WOOD ON FIRE (C460): Jumped awkwardly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 200 Metres was hampered when taken wider by SO TREASURE which shifted out and away from UNISON when that runner shifted out slightly. After the event, H T Mo reported that when the pace of the event was run inside of standard time in the early stages, he then elected to shift WOOD ON FIRE across behind runners in the early stages to avoid racing wide. KING GLORIOSO (J247): Raced tight to the inside of LEAN MASTER near the 150 Metres and made contact with NEBRASKAN. After the event, H Bowman confirmed that his instructions were if his mount commenced well tonight to endeavour to obtain a forward position. NEBRASKAN (J304): When giving ground near the 150 Metres was bumped by KING GLORIOSO. After the event, B Avdulla confirmed that his instructions were to take up a forward position. He added after obtaining the lead NEBRASKAN failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. JOLLY RULER (E346): After the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of STAR CONTACT to continue into clear running. ROCKET SPADE (G170): K Teetan (STAR CONTACT) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the 1400 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of ROMANTIC LAOS, resulting in ROMANTIC LAOS being taken in across the running of ROCKET SPADE, causing ROCKET SPADE to check to avoid the heels of ROMANTIC LAOS.
