TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482): No report. BUNDLE OF CHARM (G213): Bumped at the start. Approaching the 200 Metres was directed to the inside of TELECOM FIGHTERS to continue into clear running. ALL FOR ST PAUL'S (C517): Bumped at the 350 Metres. ADEFILL (G317): Bumped at the 350 Metres by ALL FOR ST PAUL’S which shifted out in an attempt to improve. Sent for sampling post-race. YELLOWFIN (G326): Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped by BUNDLE OF CHARM. Sent for sampling post-race.

BEAU GOSSE (G389): Atter the race, C Y Ho reported that his mount would benefit by being stepped up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SPEEDY FORTUNE (H097): Sent for sampling post-race. SMART FOLKS (D343): Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 400 Metres was bumped by COOL BLUE which shifted out. After the race, B Thompson reported that he was instructed to hold a forward position, but despite riding his mount along throughout the early stages, it failed to show sufficient pace to do so. COOL BLUE (H011): Slow to begin. Bumped near the 400 Metres. Near the 100 Metres K Teetan dropped his left rein for a number of strides. DIAMOND SOARS (G201): No report. PATCH OF WATCH (H476): No report. FIRE BALL (D087): Shortly after the start was bumped by DAILY TROPHY which shifted in. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER JOY (G251): Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its barrier. DAILY TROPHY (H283): Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. Raced keenly in the early stages and got its head up when being steadied away from PATCH OF WATCH when it was crossed by that runner near the 700 Metres. As a result, DAILY TROPHY remained in a three wide position where it raced without cover thereafter. Sent for sampling post-race. VAMOS (G004): Slow to begin. ALL IS READY (G042): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DASHING GLORY (G397): After the race, Y L Chung could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained small laceration wounds to the right hind fetlock.

MUST GO (J133): Sent for sampling post-race. SUNNY DARLING (J171): Near the 1100 Metres SOLAR UP hung out despite the efforts of its rider M Chadwick, resulting in SUNNY DARLING being crowded out onto FLYING DRAGON. SOLAR UP (J134): After the race, M Chadwick reported that his mount hung out in the early stages and proved reluctant to shift in towards the rail. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. REGENT GLORY (E323): Sent for sampling post-race. OMAKASE (H416): No report. SPEED SWORD (H397): Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event and lay out in the middle stages. DIAMOND FLARE (H224): After the race, L Ferraris stated that after leading the event his mount gave ground noticeably in the Home Straight, but he could offer no explanation for its disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of DIAMOND FLARE was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, DIAMOND FLARE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. FLYING DRAGON (E360): Bumped at the start by SUNNY DARLING which shifted out. Then a short distance later was bumped on the hindquarters by SKY SONG and became unbalanced. Near the 1100 Metres was bumped and became unbalanced. Near the 600 Metres lay out towards SPANGLE FORTUNE when racing tight inside that runner. Near the 200 Metres was checked to avoid JOY IN JOY when that runner commenced to give ground and shifted in slightly. SKY SONG (J159): Jumped only fairly and then was steadied when crowded between FLYING DRAGON and SPANGLE FORTUNE which shifted in abruptly. TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (H430): Near the 300 Metres was held up for clear running between SUNNY DARLING and SOLAR UP and was shifted to the inside of SUNNY DARLING approaching the 200 Metres to obtain clear running. SPANGLE FORTUNE (G427): Bumped at the start. JOY IN JOY (H054): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race, A Atzeni reported that his instructions from a wide barrier were to endeavour to take up a forward position. Trainer D J Whyte confirmed the instructions issued.

WINNING SEVEN (J005): Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the race, H Bowman reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have a continuous epiglottic entrapment. GO HERO (H315): After the race, Z Purton reported that his mount raced too keenly during the running of the event and as a result was left without a finishing effort. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, GO HERO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. RELIABLE PROFIT (G462): Sent for sampling post-race. CHIRON (E151): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. MEDIC ELITE (G129): Had difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the Home Turn. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <30/5/2024 Additional Veterinary Reports> After the race, MEDIC ELITE was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. MEDIC ELITE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer P C Ng this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, MEDIC ELITE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WOODFIRE CHAMP (H292): Approaching the 300 Metres was inconvenienced by PRECISION GOAL which shifted out. PERFECT PEACH (E488): Jumped only fairly. GENERAL ACE (G425): No report. NINJA DERBY (H339): No report. PRECISION GOAL (H016): Approaching the 300 Metres shifted out under pressure, resulting in its rider H Bentley having to stop riding and straighten. After the race, H Bentley stated that the only explanation he could offer for his mount’s performance was that it failed to perform on the All Weather surface. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, PRECISION GOAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. VIVA A LA (G282): No report. ASIAN ONE (E400): Jumped only fairly. Sent for sampling post-race. EAGLE RUN (G415): After the race, Y L Chung stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover from the 1200 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GREEN LASER (E409): No report. CHARMING STEED (E494): Withdrawn on 28.5.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter CHIRON. Before being allowed to race again, CHARMING STEED will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

FORTUNE WHISKEY (J153): Jumped only fairly. SELF IMPROVEMENT (H337): Sent for sampling post-race. PINS PRINCE (G013): No report. PRIME MORTAR (G328): Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out to the finish when awkwardly placed between FUN N GLORY and STRIVE FOR GLORY which shifted out. After the race, Y L Chung reported that, in his view, the horse, which was having its first run on the All Weather Track, did not appreciate racing on this surface. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, PRIME MORTAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. GOLDEN TITLE (H100): Jumped awkwardly. EVERYONE'S VICTORY (E177): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. FUN N GLORY (G003): No report. ROBOT KNIGHT (H464): Jumped only fairly. STRIVE FOR GLORY (D186): Approaching the 300 Metres attempted to improve into a narrow run between PRIME MORTAR and FUN N GLORY where there was not sufficient room. As a result, STRIVE FOR GLORY was disappointed for this run and shifted to the inside of PRIME MORTAR to secure clear running. CRAZY TREASURE (J063): After the race, A Badel reported that his instructions were to endeavour to hold a forward position. He said when CRAZY TREASURE jumped only fairly, he was obliged to ride his mount along in the early stages to comply with his instructions, however, this resulted in CRAZY TREASURE racing keenly and improving into the lead which was not his intention. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. LUCKY QUALITY (D050): Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. EURO ROCKS (H153): On arrival at the Start, C Y Ho expressed concern with his mount’s action. EURO ROCKS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse was lame in its left front leg and as such was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, EURO ROCKS was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, EURO ROCKS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.

KIMBERLEY (H329): No report. VIVA HUNTER (E369): Jumped awkwardly and got its head up. After the race, M F Poon stated that with his mount carrying equal top weight of 135 lbs, it failed to run out the 1800 Metres of tonight’s event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GALLANT HERO (E480): After the 200 Metres became held up behind FURY AND GOLD and was shifted to that runner’s outside approaching the 100 Metres to secure clear running. MISSION BRAVO (E383): Slow to begin. G LINER (H072): Sent for sampling post-race. LUCKY BANNER (G354): Approaching the 1500 Metres got its head up and lay out when racing tight to the inside of G LINER which shifted in. STARSHIP EIGHTY (H022): Making the Home Turn raced tight between MISSION BRAVO and KIMBERLEY (Z Purton) which shifted to the outside of LITTLE FAIRY to obtain clear running. Z Purton was reprimanded and advised he must leave comfortable racing room for runners to his outside when he shifts ground. K C Leung (LITTLE FAIRY) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 300 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when not clear of KIMBERLEY, resulting in KIMBERLEY being taken out and causing STARSHIP EIGHTY to be checked when crowded for room between MISSION BRAVO and KIMBERLEY. K C Leung was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 5 June 2024 at Happy Valley. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his excellent race riding record. FOREVER FOLKS (G463): Slow to begin. FURY AND GOLD (H202): No report. MR ALADDIN (H386): Jumped awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages. After the race, L Ferraris stated that his mount raced in a one-paced manner and finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BRAVE WITNESS (H425): Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 1300 Metres got its head up when being crossed by LUCKY BANNER (A Badel) which shifted in when not quite clear. A Badel was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground. Sent for sampling post-race. KYRUS UNICORN (D267): Jumped only fairly. JUBILATION (G029): No report. LITTLE FAIRY (H206): K C Leung pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 300 Metres (see STARSHIP EIGHTY). FAST VICTORY (H393): Withdrawn on 28.5.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen left front leg) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter G LINER. Before being allowed to race again, FAST VICTORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

SING DRAGON (J141): Sent for sampling post-race. MAGNIAC (H141): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. VICTORY MOMENTS (H142): Sent for sampling post-race. SUPER WIN DRAGON (E253): After the race, K De Melo stated that he was instructed to hold a midfield position. He said when SUPER WIN DRAGON jumped only fairly and was caught wide in the early stages, he was obliged to settle further back in the field. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CAPITAL DELIGHT (H262): Sent for sampling post-race. HONG KONG HALL (G315): No report. BEAUTY INFINITY (H377): Bumped at the start. Lay out for some distance after the 600 Metres. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. CALL ME DANDY (G469): Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race. As this was the second occasion that CALL ME DANDY had bled, the horse is permanently barred from any further racing. MONTA FRUTTA (H455): Shortly after the start was crowded between LIGHTNING BOLT and BEAUTY INFINITY which shifted in slightly. Raced keenly in the middle stages. After the race, Y L Chung could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SKY FOREVER (E414): Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race. Before being allowed to race again, SKY FOREVER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LIGHTNING BOLT (G130): Bumped shortly after the start. <30/5/2024 Additional Veterinary Reports> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that LIGHTNING BOLT was lame in its left hind leg on the day after racing. Before being allowed to race again, LIGHTNING BOLT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. COLOURFUL PRINCE (E418): No report.

MASSIVE ACTION (E445): After the race, H T Mo advised that he was obliged to make too much use of his mount in the early stages to lead and then was disadvantaged by MASSIVE ACTION being taken on in the lead throughout the early and middle stages. He added as a result MASSIVE ACTION was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. SUPER WINNER (C341): Badly held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 100 Metres. EXCELLENT FIGHTER (G343): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. HIGHLAND RAHY (J298): No report. AESTHETICISM (H289): Held up for clear running between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres. DEVILDOM (H445): Jumped only fairly. SURUGA BAY (J022): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for some distance after the 600 Metres. AMAZING DUCK (H392): Jumped awkwardly. RED MAJESTY (E028): Held up for clear running between the 350 Metres and the 150 Metres. K De Melo was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time. SILVER UP (J078): Jumped only fairly. Held up making the Home Turn.
