JUDY'S GREAT (J016): M L Yeung (COMPASSION SUPER) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the turn near the 700 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of JUDY’S GREAT, resulting in JUDY’S GREAT being unnecessarily crowded for room and having to be checked. M L Yeung was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Monday, 1 January 2024 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 1 and the consequences grade 2. MAN STAR (D429): Near the 300 Metres was shifted out abruptly to obtain clear running. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SHINING FORTUNE (G252): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. RAINBOW DELIGHT (J009): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, RAINBOW DELIGHT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. COMPASSION SUPER (G283): Blundered on jumping. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SPEEDY SMARTIE (H108): Sent for sampling post-race. UNIVERSAL PURSUIT (H286): Jumped awkwardly. Over-raced in the early stages and hung out negotiating the turn near the 700 Metres. ACA POWER (E144): Slow to begin. COOL BLUE (H011): After the race, K Teetan could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of COOL BLUE was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, COOL BLUE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DIAMOND FLARE (H224): Sent for sampling post-race. LEAN MASTER (H134): Sent for sampling post-race. STRIVE FOR GLORY (D186): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. After the race, K De Melo expressed concern with his mount’s action during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, STRIVE FOR GLORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
