HOLY LAKE (H260): Near the 400 Metres shifted out and away from SUPER WISE DRAGON, made contact with LUCKY ETERNITY and became unbalanced. After the race, C Y Ho stated that his mount, which was stepping up to 1600 Metres today, raced greenly, particularly under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
AESTHETICISM (H289): Sent for sampling post-race.
MASTER HERO (D501): Shifted out approaching the 100 Metres and bumped SUPER WISE DRAGON.
SATIRICAL GLORY (H073): No report.
LUCKY ETERNITY (G478): Near the 400 Metres was bumped and became unbalanced. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
FREE FOAL (E065): No report.
CASA COSMO (G436): No report.
CLUB SODA (H312): Near the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from HOLY LAKE.
E TALENT (H310): Slow to begin.
FOREVER FOLKS (G463): Bumped shortly after the start.
NORTHERN BEAST (H233): Jumped only fairly. Near the 400 Metres was directed to the inside of AESTHETICISM to obtain clear running.
SUPER WISE DRAGON (G475): Approaching the 100 Metres was bumped by MASTER HERO which shifted out. When questioned, J McDonald stated that from the inside barrier he was instructed to settle where comfortable but not to ride his mount along in the early stages as SUPER WISE DRAGON has been subject to a wind operation. He said as a result after beginning only fairly and with the strong early pace, he was able to hold a midfield position throughout the early and middle stages. When questioned regarding his riding on the Home Turn and the reason he shifted out to follow MASTER HERO rather than improving to the inside, J McDonald stated that due to the pace of the event being run inside of standard, he had expected the leaders to give ground and as a result he elected to shift out and follow MASTER HERO into the Home Straight as he felt MASTER HERO would provide him with a good trail into the race. Trainer W Y So confirmed the instructions issued. Sent for sampling post-race.
LITTLE FAIRY (H206): Raced keenly in the middle stages. Approaching the 100 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded between AESTHETICISM and SUPER WISE DRAGON, both of which shifted ground.
SUPERB MOVE (G304): After the race, A Atzeni reported that from the outside barrier he was asked to take up a forward position on his mount. Trainer C H Yip confirmed the instructions issued. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
