On June 13th, a turf trial over 1600m in Conghua saw the horse settle comfortably at the back of the field. Five weeks ago, it ran a respectable race over a long distance at Happy Valley, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with an even pace before finishing fourth after a late run by LASKAR. The margin was two and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial did not show improvement. Returning to Sha Tin over 1800m this time with a three-pound weight reduction, the horse recorded a slower sectional time compared to its group. While it may need to settle back in running position, its finishing kick is unlikely to match rivals. Despite previous successes at this distance, prospects appear limited.
