Two weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley mile, tracking the pace but tiring noticeably in the final stages. He finished reasonably close, beaten three and a half lengths, demonstrating decent ability. The horse has since dropped 38 pounds in body weight and is stepping back into action, with another trial at Happy Valley over 1800m. This time he will carry an additional 18 pounds, faces favorable competition timings, and has drawn a good barrier offering potential for a forward run. Based on relative ability, this horse appears to be the strongest contender in this race; a clean break and intention to lead should see him challenging for a place.
