He maintained a steady pace throughout but lacked any significant acceleration, finishing well-beaten. A recent trial showed a lack of power. Now stepping back to Happy Valley over a mile for its debut at this distance, carrying a one-pound deduction, the unfavorable draw and unsuitable distance pose challenges; consider this race as another trial run. On April 10th (dirt trial 1200m: 4-3-8), the horse faded mid-race and dropped back on the straight.
