On March 24th, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1000m, the horse showed good control and maintained a steady pace throughout, with several attempts to restrain him within the barriers. On February 10th, also a turf trial at Conghua over 1000m, he tracked the leaders comfortably in an open position, running smoothly. Prior to this, in a race over the same distance three months ago, he performed well despite a slow start and settling towards the rear. He finished strongly but was beaten by two and a half lengths. Following a short break, two barrier trials were undertaken, though perhaps not fully extended. This time, there is no weight reduction, however the horse has previously won three races over this distance. An advantageous barrier draw combined with the booking of Zac Purton, who has some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities, and a strong trainer-jockey partnership suggest potential despite a slightly unfavorable time difference within the group. Considered a leading contender.
