Following a dirt trial over 1200m on March 4th (sections of 1-2-3), the horse maintained a good rhythm and showed no signs of tiring. As a last-start winner, four weeks ago it impressively led throughout in a race over the same distance, still showing late strength to win comfortably. A subsequent barrier trial indicated some improvement. This time requiring an 8lb rise in weight, the horse has proven form at this distance, and its rivals aren’t significantly faster. Drawing an inside barrier provides a favorable positioning. Based on ability, it is considered the strongest contender in this race; the jockey has some familiarity with the horse's capabilities, and trainer-jockey confidence is high. The horse appears primed to perform well and break new ground.
