Four weeks ago, over a Happy Valley 1200m, the horse performed poorly, breaking slowly and settling towards the back. The leader set a strong pace, but it finished within two and a half lengths of the winner in fifth place. A subsequent turf trial over 1200m at Sha Tin sees the horse carrying one pound less this time; however, it has failed to win any of its ten races over this distance. While a hold-up tactic is expected, its finishing speed may not match rivals, leaving its chances questionable despite comparable times within its group. The jockey has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities and the trainer/jockey combination appears amicable, but it isn't considered a strong contender in this race.
