On March 14th, during a Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m, the horse tracked the leaders but didn’t extend well in the straight. On February 25th, over 1000m on the Sha Tin turf, he was urged by the jockey and held second position. On March 13th, during a dirt trial of 1200m, his action lacked smoothness and fell short of expectations. On August 28th, also a 1200m dirt trial, he bumped with another horse at the 300m mark but finished fourth under pressure. A Happy Valley turf trial on October 10th saw him drift back throughout the race and perform well below par. A Conghua turf trial over 1000m on September 16th began awkwardly; he was vigorously urged throughout, made up some ground but lacked a strong finish. On August 29th during an 800m Conghua grass trial his performance was unremarkable and fell short of expectations. This is the horse’s debut race after arriving in Hong Kong last February, having undergone initial training in early October before a month-long break. He has trialled seven times this season with underwhelming results; displaying a low stride but slow recovery, showing some early speed but fading quickly. While possessing potential, he isn't fully fit and should be assessed after one run.
