On March 25th, during a turf trial over 1600m, the horse showed acceleration on the bend and fought for second place. Four weeks prior, it ran over Sha Tin’s 1800m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders but maintaining only an even pace with no impressive surge. A subsequent barrier trial indicated slight improvement. Now debuting at Happy Valley over a mile after joining the current stable, it faces an unfavorable distance and will carry an additional 18 pounds this race. Despite potentially drawing a good barrier, it’s considered to be running primarily as a trial run.
