Four weeks ago, it ran acceptably over a Happy Valley 1200m, jumping slowly and settling towards the back before making a move in the middle stages, ultimately failing to hold on for the finish. A subsequent barrier trial didn't show significant improvement. Another Happy Valley sprint trial was completed; this time with a five-pound weight reduction. The competition appears strong within its group. It will likely be held up in this race but lacks the finishing kick of its rivals, making its chances questionable despite a four-win record from seven starts over this distance. Despite drawing a good barrier and appearing tense, opportunities seem limited.
