On March 14th, during a Happy Valley barrier trial over 1200m, the horse started slowly and settled towards the rear before making up ground in the final two sections. Prior to this, in a race over the same distance in March, it performed respectably despite a slow start and settling back in the field; it ran with strong momentum but was beaten three and a half lengths. A recent trial showed positive signs. This time, the horse needs to carry 5 pounds more and has yet to win from this distance in three attempts, with limited success against its group rivals. Drawing an outside barrier, a hold-up tactics is expected, relying on a strong finishing kick which it possesses – making for a decent chance of causing an upset.
