On March 28th, during a Conghua turf trial over 1200m, the horse was intentionally held back, appearing below its best. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin mile race, performance was subpar; it settled well and tracked the leaders, showed effort in the middle stages but lacked acceleration, finishing fourth, beaten two and a half lengths – a respectable showing. A subsequent barrier trial revealed the horse hadn't been fully prepared. Now stepping up to a 1400m Sha Tin race with a 5lb rise in weight, having previously won twice over this distance and recording the fastest time among its group, it appears to have an advantageous position. Based on its ability, this horse is considered a strong contender in the race. Andrea Atzeni takes the ride, possessing some familiarity with the horse, and trainer-jockey relationship is solid; given sufficient preparation, it has potential to finish within the top three.
