On March 25th (turf trial, 1000m: 3-5-7), the horse was urged with the whip after 300m but failed to respond and dropped back. On March 13th (Conghua dirt trial, 1200m: 7-7-6), it had a slow start and required prompting from the jockey with only an average response. On February 25th (turf trial, 1600m: 5-5-10-10) it ran wide throughout, slowing down on the turn and finishing poorly. A further trial on February 11th (dirt trial, 1200m: 7-7-9) saw it empty in the straight, showing little willingness to run. Last race was over this distance in March, resulting in a poor performance; a slow start meant it settled at the back before making a mid-race move which faded quickly leading to a significant defeat. Four barrier trials since have shown no improvement. Despite carrying a 3lb weight reduction and facing weaker opposition within its group, the horse appears disadvantaged with an unfavourable draw and is unlikely to feature prominently."
