On March 27th, the horse recorded a strong dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 2-2-1), tracking closely behind the leaders and finishing comfortably. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf 1400m race, the performance was unremarkable; it settled in a good position, made a move in the middle stages but faded towards the finish. A subsequent trial showed improvement. Another turf trial over 1200m is scheduled with a four-pound weight reduction. While having previous form over this distance and drawing a favorable barrier for a potential front-running position, rivals in the same section haven’t shown strong times, and the horse lacks a potent finishing kick – it tends to be slow out of the gates.
