On March 27th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1050m in sections of 4-4-3, remaining calm in the early stages and not being urged along the straight. A recent winner, three weeks ago it secured victory over the same distance, jumping moderately but finishing strongly with good momentum to win by one and a half lengths. A subsequent trial showed slight improvement. This time carrying an additional five pounds, having previously won twice at this distance, with competitive times recorded against its rivals and drawing an inside barrier, the horse is expected to settle back in the field and utilize its strong finishing kick – arguably the best among its competitors. Conditions are favorable, based on the horse's ability it’s considered the strongest contender in this race, trainer and jockey have a good rapport with thorough pre-race preparation increasing its chances of defending its title.
