On March 25th, a turf trial over 1000m saw the horse break slowly but finished strongly after 200m, finishing with sections of 8-9-5. On March 11th, a dirt trial over 1200m showed him tracking the pace until the early straight, maintaining a flat final section (sections 2-2-8). On February 18th, during a dirt trial over 1200m, he maintained a good early speed before easing up in the straight (sections 3-4-8). Prior to March, a Happy Valley 1200m race was disappointing; he followed the leaders at a steady pace but lacked a finishing kick. After a short break, three barrier trials yielded unremarkable results. Returning to Sha Tin over 1200m, this time with a four-pound weight reduction, the horse has proven form over this distance and comparable times within his group. He is expected to challenge for the lead; a clean start should allow him to push forward aggressively.
