On March 7th, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m, the horse broke slowly and only showed moderate progress with late whipping (7-7-7 sections). Seven weeks ago, it delivered an outstanding performance on Sha Tin turf over 1400m, settling back from a slow start before making a fast run in the final two sections. Two barrier trials have been completed without showing full potential. Making its debut on Sha Tin turf over 1600m this time with a two-pound weight reduction, the distance is unfavorable and it has drawn an outside barrier. A hold-up tactic is expected but its finishing kick may not be competitive; therefore, it's best to observe one more race before assessing its chances.
