Five weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed very well, jumping moderately and settling towards the back before accelerating strongly in the final two sections. This time with a three-pound weight reduction, having proven form over this course and distance, and showing good times within its group, it is expected to be held up in the early stages and rely on a strong finishing kick – arguably the strongest in its class. A gate workout was conducted prior to racing, demonstrating thorough preparation and making it a contender.
