On March 21st, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m in sections of 1-1-1 using a prominent pace-setting strategy. Four weeks ago, in a straight course race, the horse performed well, jumping moderately and settling towards the back before finishing with a strong surge. A subsequent barrier trial showed improvement. This time, stepping onto the Sha Tin turf over 1400m, the horse will carry an additional pound, faces a time difference within its group which is unfavorable, and trainer-jockey combination isn’t ideal. However, it's expected to race from behind with a powerful finishing kick – potentially the strongest in the field. Alexis Badel has been booked to ride, offering some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities; a hold-up tactic is anticipated.
