On March 14th, a Happy Valley trial over 1200m saw the horse move up to third position after two furlongs, maintaining a strong pace. On February 28th, during a Conghua turf trial over 1000m, it ran mid-pack in a relaxed manner. A further Conghua turf trial on February 14th, covering 800m following a long break, showed respectable form. This horse is returning from a spell and will be making its seasonal debut. Three barrier trials have been completed with slight improvement shown each time. Now stepping up to a straight course race, it carries a six-pound weight reduction but has drawn poorly. A hold-up strategy seems likely, however, the finishing speed may not match rivals, leaving its chances questionable. The trainer and jockey haven't historically worked well together. Despite previous successes over this distance with similar times, a jockey change to Harry Bentley is expected to improve the partnership and unlock the horse’s potential for a better performance.
